It would be “a travesty” if Tyson Fury never fights Anthony Joshua, said the ‘Gypsy King’.

Speaking on TNT Sports ahead of Nick Ball’s fight with Ronny Rios, Fury said: “It doesn’t matter if he’s lost one fight or 21, he will never escape the Gypsy King. He will always have to fight me. It doesn’t matter if he’s 49, 42, 55 or 65, we will definitely fight. I don’t care if he never wins another fight for 20 years, we will have to fight for the fans of this country.”

Fury is in camp ahead of his December 21 return with Oleksandr Usyk. Fury said he was entering the rematch “in destroy mode” and added: “I’m ready to rock and roll. I don’t need a 12-week camp. I’ve been boxing all my life. I’m ready to go tonight, tomorrow, next weekend. All I need is five-six weeks good sparring this time.”

Then, speaking of Joshua’s loss to Daniel Dubois two weeks ago, Fury said: “Daniel did everything he had to do,” and then turned his sights back to Joshua, his long-time rival.

“At the end of the day, it would be a travesty if we didn’t fight,” Fury continued “No matter if he loses 20 more fights, if he doesn’t win another fight and he has 10 years away from the game, it doesn’t matter. We have to fight. Doesn’t matter if we’re 50 years old, we have to fight. I lost one big fight [from happening] already with David Price, he was a British hope at one stage and that was building up lovely, that would have been a massive fight in Liverpool or Manchester, and it would be a travesty if we didn’t fight each other.”
