One rescuer felt incredibly sad when he received a call about a pup held by an owner who wasn’t taking care of him.

He knew that without his help, the pup would stay with his abusive owner and would not receive the help he so desperately needed.

Determined to finally get him into a loving environment, the rescuer headed down to the location. However, when he saw the pup for the first time with his own two eyes, he realized that things were so much worse.

The pup was found with a rusty chain around her neck with his fur completely matted and covered in dirt.

But no matter his heartbreaking state, the pup was still super friendly to the hooman. It was as if he knew this man would change his life forever.

And that is exactly what happened. He managed to get the pup into his care and, without wasting a single second, he took him to the groomer.

The workers carefully took off patches of his fur while talking to the pup with a sweet, calming voice and reassuring him that everything would be okay.

Unfortunately, they uncovered a lot of open wounds that got infected over time. The hoomans knew that this sweet boy was in a lot of pain but they were amazed at his resilience.  Throughout the entire process, he was calm and collected, patiently waiting for them to be finished.

Easy Does It

After his much-needed haircut, the boy was taken to the vet in order for his wounds to be properly looked at.

Because his health condition wasn’t the best, the vets decided that it would be for the best if the pup stayed with them for some time so that they could keep him on close observation.

Every hooman around him was fully aware that his recovery journey was going to be long and hard. But no matter what, they decided to stick by his side and cheer him on the entire way.

His rescuer paid him a visit every single day so that he could have fun playdates and adventurous walks with him.

The pup enjoyed their time together so much that he began showing incredible signs of improvement.

Inspired by his resilience and determination, the hooman swore to the pup that he would do everything it takes to provide him with a life full of love, happiness, and fun in a forever home he truly derives.

Final Word

I would like to take this opportunity to remind every doggo owner why it is important to take care of your dog’s fur.

If your pup has long fur, it is of crucial importance that you take it to the groomer every 4 to 6 weeks so that it can get the care it needs. If not, its fur can get dirty and matted, which can cause severe pain to your furry friend.

And remember – a brush a day keeps the tangles away!
