Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes have officially opted out of Bravo’s upcoming reality series centered on the wives and girlfriends (WAGs) of Kansas City Chiefs players. Sources close to both women have confirmed that neither will be part of the cast, despite the show still being in its developmental stages.
“Taylor and Brittany are not involved with the show at all and will not be filmed for it,” an insider shared with PEOPLE. “Taylor, in particular, is very protective of what little private life she has left.” Though Swift is currently dating Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, she remains committed to keeping her personal life as private as possible. The source added, “She enjoys all the women she’s met through Travis but has no interest in being part of Bravo’s storyline,” highlighting Swift’s ongoing efforts to balance her public persona with her private life.
Bravo has been developing a reality series that focuses on the lives of the women behind the Super Bowl-winning Chiefs. While no official cast has been announced, potential participants include Chariah Gordon, fiancée of wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr., and Sheawna Weathersby, the longtime partner of defensive tackle Chris Jones.
“There’s still a lot to work out, including who will make the final cut and if there’s enough material to build a full series around. It’s very much a work in progress,” another insider revealed. The show is expected to explore the unique challenges these women face while in relationships with professional athletes whose demanding schedules often leave little room for personal time.
Filming for the Bravo series reportedly began during the NFL offseason, with minor appearances from a few Chiefs players, but the focus remains on the WAGs. “The action is centered on Chariah, Sheawna, and their close-knit group of friends. They understand the pressures and struggles of being in relationships with workaholic athletes,” the source noted.
Mecole Hardman Jr. and Chariah Gordon, who have been together for over three years, made headlines with their engagement in June 2024. They welcomed their son, Three, on Super Bowl Sunday in 2023—an unforgettable moment as Hardman was preparing to play in the big game when Gordon went into labor. Meanwhile, Chris Jones and Sheawna Weathersby have maintained a low profile since they started dating in 2015 and have two children together, Christopher “Deuce” (born in 2018) and Carson (born in 2022).
Although Swift and Mahomes will not be part of the Bravo reality series, they have still made headlines as part of the Chiefs’ inner circle. Swift was spotted enjoying time with the WAGs during the Chiefs’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on September 15. She shared Instagram selfies with Chariah Gordon and Sheawna Weathersby in front of a photo of Travis Kelce in his iconic No. 87 jersey, showcasing a relaxed and happy atmosphere.
Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is also expecting their third child. The couple already has two children: Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, born in November 2022. Brittany has been a prominent figure in the Chiefs’ fan community, and her absence from the Bravo series aligns with her focus on her growing family.
Despite the excitement surrounding the Bravo show, it appears that Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes are opting for privacy and family over reality TV, leaving fans to enjoy their occasional appearances at Chiefs games and moments off-screen with the team’s WAGs.
