Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter shared a brilliant moment with a young fan that was caught on camera.

The Buffaloes’ Heisman Trophy winner took the time to make a fan’s day as he pulled out to give the young boy a signature. A video posted to social media showed the moment that Hunter spotted the young fan waving at him from the side of the road. The 21-year-old stopped his car and ushered the youngster over to his vehicle.

As Hunter stopped, the young fan ran around to the window that the Colorado star had wound down. The two could be seen talking before Hunter’s arm emerged from the window and signed the boy’s jumper.

Hunter then drove off, leaving the young fan jubilant as he jumped up and down excitedly with his friends before walking off and pointing toward the signature. The touching moment by the Buffaloes junior comes amid the spotlight on his relationship with fiancee Leanna Lenee.

The couple have been together since 2022 and announced their engagement in February with the pair inseparable off the field and Hunter regularly posts loving pictures of the two on his social media. However, Leanna has been criticized for her reaction to Hunter after the Buffaloes’ last game of the season.

She was spotted looking annoyed with Hunter and previously seen having to be nudged by Colorado head coach Deion Sanders at the Heisman Trophy awards ceremony after Hunter won the coveted prize earlier this month. Hunter has since spoken out about the spotlight on their relationship, saying he is finished discussing the situation.

“For people that’s talking about Leanna being mad? We were talking about what we’re going to do with the family when I leave,” Hunter said on his YouTube podcast alongside co-host Boog Knight III. “So if you all want to keep talking, you can keep talking. I’m not going to say nothing else about it.”

Boog agreed with Hunter’s sentiment and instead urged people to focus on his current success on the field, as he replied: “Yeah, we’re leaving that alone man, it is what it is. Let miserable people be miserable people, you winning, keep winning – it looks good on you.”

Lenee herself also addressed the backlash she received after she was seen in a video slamming the fans who had been criticizing her behavior. The 23-year-old said: “This Heisman ceremony, this is making me so mad because anyone who knows me knows I support Travis in every win, everything he does, because I truly love that man.

“He is perfect in my eyes. So, when his name was called, his mom didn’t get up so I was like, ‘oh, maybe I don’t get up, maybe I just sit here.’ So I sat there. As soon as I’ve seen Travis get up, then I thought it was appropriate to stand up, greet him, congratulate him. But then, there was a camera right in front of Coach Prime and I knew they were going to film that moment, and because of how people are online, I was like, ‘I don’t want to be in that shot, so I’m going to sit down.’

“So I try to sit down, so I’m not in the camera while I’m crying. People are going to be like, ‘why is she crying?’ Stuff like that. And so I got out of the camera purposefully so they can have their moment. That’s all it was. No one told me to stand up, no one told me to celebrate with him.

“I was just sitting there crying. I wanted to take it in myself too. I was super excited for him. But I wanted the moment to be about him and his family.”
