SPORT NEWS: Drake Takes a Shot at DeMar DeRozan with Explicit Insult Following Kings’ Disappointing Loss to Raptors .giang

Drake is taking things personally. The rapper, known for wearing his heart on his sleeve, took a shot at NBA star DeMar DeRozan after the Sacramento Kings’ loss to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday night. In a video shared online, Drake, 38, could be heard calling DeRozan, 35, a “p–y” as the player walked by on the court. “F–k outta here, p–y,” Drake said in the clip.

It remains unclear whether DeRozan actually heard the comment, but it was enough to stir up reactions among fans and media.

Drake’s representative declined to comment when approached about the incident, adding a layer of mystery to the confrontation.

During the game, the five-time Grammy winner was vocal about his feelings, even telling reporters he would personally remove any tribute to DeRozan if the Raptors ever decided to retire his number. “If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself,” Drake stated, according to another video shared online.

The tension seemed to escalate as footage surfaced of Drake and his longtime associate, Chubbs, giving DeRozan what could only be described as a mean-mugging glare from the sidelines as he played. The pair appeared less than pleased, adding more fuel to the fire of their supposed rivalry.

After the game ended, reporters asked DeRozan about Drake’s banner comments, and the basketball star responded with humor and defiance. “He’s going to have a long way to climb to take it down. Tell him good luck,” DeRozan quipped, seemingly unbothered by Drake’s threat. His cool response drew praise from fans who saw it as a sign of DeRozan’s maturity and confidence amid the drama.

It remains unclear why Drake has taken aim at DeRozan, but fans have been speculating that the apparent beef may be connected to DeRozan’s friendship with fellow rapper Kendrick Lamar.

In May, Kendrick Lamar, 37, released his No. 1 diss track against Drake, titled “Not Like Us.” The song featured a pointed verse in which Lamar name-dropped DeRozan: “I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither.” This line referred to DeRozan’s departure from the Raptors and was seen as a jab at Toronto, as well as Drake, who is an avid Raptors supporter.

DeRozan even made a brief cameo appearance in the music video for “Not Like Us,” which was seen by some as a subtle endorsement of Lamar’s attacks on Drake.

The video featured Lamar accusing the Toronto rapper of inappropriate behavior, adding more complexity to the feud. Just a month later, in June, DeRozan appeared onstage alongside Lamar during his Juneteenth concert, during which the rapper performed “Not Like Us” five consecutive times. This public association with Kendrick Lamar only seemed to add fuel to the fire.

Despite all the apparent friction, DeRozan addressed his relationship with Drake in July, making it clear he still considered the rapper a friend despite the ongoing rap beef. “Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed,” DeRozan told the Sacramento Bee.

He tried to downplay the controversy, explaining, “It’s so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day, it’s music, entertainment.”

This latest incident may suggest that the tension between Drake and DeRozan is still brewing, but DeRozan’s attitude seems to be one of light-heartedness rather than retaliation.

As the drama continues to unfold, fans are left wondering whether this is simply part of the entertainment spectacle or if real tensions have developed between the two stars. Either way, it’s clear that Drake’s feelings have once again taken center stage, keeping everyone talking long after the final buzzer.
