CeeDee Lamb is ready to stop playing with the sun in his eyes on Sunday afternoons.

When asked if AT&T Stadium needs curtains over the windows, the star wide receiver said, “Yes, 1,000 percent,” per the Dallas Morning News’ Calvin Watkins.

Lamb’s comments come after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones ripped the idea of adding curtains to the stadium.

“Well let’s tear the damn stadium down and build another one? Are you kidding me? Everybody has got the same thing,” Jones said, per The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “Every team that comes in here has the same issues. I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

The sun shining into AT&T Stadium is not a new issue, but one that once again became evident on Sunday. The blinding rays caused confusion between Lamb and Jake Ferguson on a route in the end zone, resulting in an incomplete pass from Cooper Rush that likely could have been a touchdown.

“Couldn’t see the ball. Couldn’t see the ball, at all,” Lamb told reporters after the game, via USA Today’s Chris Bumbuca. “The sun.”

Despite the sun causing problems for both the Cowboys and visiting teams, Jones has been consistent in his opinions on changing the stadium. He believes his team and those visiting AT&T Stadium should have to adapt to the elements, even though they play indoors.

“I wish to hell all I had to worry about was a ball hitting the screen or a little sun getting in there,” Jones said in a 2022 interview on 105.3 The Fan. “Conditions and elements have been a part of football since it was spelled the first time. No. That’s about 10,000 on my list of things to worry about. And, no, we’re not going to do anything with it.”

As the sun set on AT&T Stadium on Sunday, a 34-6 blowout loss meant the sun also continued to set on the Cowboys playoff hopes. Dallas lost its fourth straight game to drop to 3-6 on the year, leaving the Cowboys with an uphill battle to climb to reach the postseason.
