Simone Biles is one of the most decorated Olympians in Games history – but she is surprisingly not a fan of not easy Pilates.
Earlier this year, Biles enjoyed a spectacular return to the Olympics stage. Biles departed Paris with gold medals from the team, all-around, and vault finals along with silver in the floor routine.
She has 11 Olympic medals – including seven golds – to her name, tying Czechoslovakias Vera Caslavska for the second-most by a female gymnast in Olympic history. But even though she is one of the greatest gymnasts in history, the 27-year-old may have met her match in Pilates.
Biles was spotted at Soldier Field not long ago, cheering on her husband, Jonathan Owens during the visit of the Detroit Lions. But she has recently returned to training and workouts after enjoying some downtime since returning from Paris.
Even though Pilates was her first workout after the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles is not a fan of the exercise. The Team USA icon couldnt help but express amazement at those who manage to nail this type of workout – including her husband.
When asked if she would rather do gymnastics conditioning or Pilates by Olympics Gymnastics, Biles declared: Oh, Id rather do 10 presses every morning rather than go to a Pilates class. That stuff, I dont know how people do it. Its not easy. Dont sign me up.

Biles added: First time working out since the Olympics This is what I wore to a Pilates class that I will never be attending again! Yall stay strong out there, lmao. Its too hard.
Back in 2020, Biles gave her thoughts on Pilates – and they havent changed. She declared: I will not be doing that again.
Its intriguing to think that Biles much prefers traditionally more complicated workouts revolving around gymnastics conditioning rather than Pilates, which involves slower and more controlled movements. Biles has even said in the past that she would cheat when her teacher was not around or watching her.
Instead, Biles trains for between six and seven hours a day, which largely involves refining her intricate gymnastics skills and working on her conditioning. She also cross-trains frequently in a week, taking part in exercises like swimming, biking, and running. But Pilates is definitely not on her radar.
