The book mentions a man living in the Abaco Islands named Kingsley Russell. Russell’s family ran a taxi service and hotel near the area where Aaliyah’s plane crash occurred. In the video, Russell describes the feeling of excitement when reading about Kobe Bryant’s case, which reminded him of the day he witnessed the moment Aaliyah was put on the fatal flight while she was sleeping. Russell said that Aaliyah apparently passed out immediately after taking a pill given to her by someone on the flight.
What puzzled Russell was that just minutes before boarding the plane, Aaliyah seemed to vehemently object and refused to board the flight. Russell said that the sound of the plane hitting the ground was something he would never forget.
