Devon’s harsh words were clearly aimed at Harris’ perceived lack of concrete action following the hurricanes, rather than what she viewed as empty rhetoric.
The controversy comes on the heels of claims made by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who alleged that Vice President Harris did not respond to his calls for federal assistance as Hurricane Milton approached the state. She opened up about her struggle to sleep, sharing how the weight of the disaster has affected her personally. “I can’t even lie. My heart is already heavy. I legit couldn’t sleep from 2:30 am to 5:00 am, fell asleep for 30 minutes and had to wake up and get the boys ready for school,” she revealed. “Thinking so hard about those who had to evacuate their homes, and I have no idea if they’ll even come home to one.”
