Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner’s sisterly connections are reportedly beginning to fray.
The pair’s relationship has seen its ups and downs and all has been documented for the cameras between their original show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and its Hulu revival, The Kardashians. However, it seems that yet another tumultuous issue has come between them as Kim is reportedly feeling a bit jealous of her more low-key sister.
An insider said: “They’ve tried to put differences aside, but things keep coming up, especially for Kim who really resents that Kylie gets away with keeping her personal life so private and still somehow manages to stay in their mom’s good books.”
They also noted that Kim, typically considered the most famous of the group, is “under pressure” and has been for years. She’s often felt forced to out “every detail of her life bare for the good of the show and family.” Much of this pressure, insists the source, comes from her mother, Kris. She seems to hold her daughters each to “different set[s] of rules” which is something Kim doesn’t feel is right, constantly clocking it.
A second insider told Life and Style: “Kris wants the show to go on forever, but the economic realities of the streaming world are creeping up on her whether she likes it or not.”
The first insider also pointed out that Kylie isn’t big on crediting Kim for all the opportunities she’s received due to her sister’s hard work. “She acts like it was just all her own hard work and as far as Kim’s concerned is very arrogant about it,” they explained. This is certainly something fans have been picking up on lately, too, as recently they’ve slammed her on Reddit for, as they claim, not working hard enough.
A fan said: “Kylie Jenner! We need more from you. Your sister is an actress now. Khloe dabbled with being a tv host. Kendall is a model. What is your talent? Being pretty is just simply not enough anymore.”
Another wrote: “Building a s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 takes some level of practice and motivation. Kylie is infamous for being lazy, late, and flaky. I couldn’t see her building up a s𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 in anything tbh. Hard work can overtake talent, but she lacks the drive someone like Kim has. I think she’s happy doing the bare minimum and staying out the way.”
