Khloé Kardashian was married to Lamar Odom for four years before their split in 2013. She was most recently linked to a private equity investor shortly after welcoming her second child with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Tristan Thompson

Khloé Kardashian’s dating life has indeed been a rollercoaster ride, filled with high-profile relationships and challenges.

Her whirlwind romance with former NBA player Lamar Odom captivated the public in 2009 when they got engaged just weeks after meeting. However, the marriage took a tragic turn due to Odom’s substance abuse issues, ultimately leading to their split in 2013, although Kardashian temporarily halted the divorce to support him during his recovery in 2015.

In 2016, Khloé began a tumultuous on-again, off-again relationship with NBA player Tristan Thompson. Despite their ups and downs, they welcomed two children together: daughter True in 2018 and a son in 2022. However, their relationship was marred by several cheating scandals, further complicating their co-parenting dynamic.

After their most recent breakup, reports emerged that Khloé was dating a mystery private equity investor she met through her sister Kim Kardashian. However, by August 2022, it was confirmed that they were no longer together. This prompted Khloé to take a step back and focus on herself, especially as she faced scrutiny over her romantic choices.

In June 2022, amidst rumors of her dating “another NBA player,” she quickly dismissed the speculation, stating, “Definitely NOT True!!!” and emphasizing her commitment to her daughter and self-care. By February 2023, she reiterated this sentiment, sharing, “Who has time for a man lol. I have a 6-month-old baby and True and I are sickly codependent on one another.”

Reflecting on her past relationships in a July 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Khloé expressed her lingering feelings for Lamar, saying, “Every single day, I feel bad about Lamar,” and acknowledged Tristan’s struggles as well.

From her early romances to her significant relationships, Khloé’s dating history is a testament to her resilience and growth.

Kardashian began dating former NBA player Rashad McCants at the end of 2008, but their relationship was short-lived, officially ending in January 2009. At the time, Kardashian, then 24, expressed on her blog that their busy schedules made it difficult to maintain a committed relationship. She wrote, “Our time together was just so limited because of both of our schedules that we decided it is best not to be in a committed relationship. The last seven months have been great and we will definitely remain close friends.”

While she characterized the breakup as mutual, Kardashian later alleged that McCants had cheated on her during an episode of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. This led to McCants responding to the accusations, asserting to Page Six that the scene, which showed Kardashian and Kourtney discovering suggestive messages in his voicemail, was entirely fabricated for the show. He claimed that not only did Kardashian not have his current phone number, but they had already ended their relationship before the scene was filmed.

In 2009, Kardashian briefly dated NFL running back Derrick Ward. Their romance included a trip to Mexico to celebrate her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s 30th birthday, but that was about as far as it went for the couple. According to Page Six, their relationship didn’t develop beyond a few dates, as they parted ways shortly after.

This brief fling occurred just before Kardashian’s whirlwind romance with NBA star Lamar Odom, which would soon dominate headlines and shape her reality TV journey.

After meeting at a party for fellow NBA player Ron Artest in August 2009, Kardashian and Lamar Odom quickly fell for each other, getting engaged just weeks later. They tied the knot in a lavish Beverly Hills ceremony only nine days after their engagement.

Initially, things appeared to be going well for the couple, who shared their journey in the E! reality show Khloé & Lamar, which documented their life as newlyweds. However, in 2013, Kardashian filed for divorce amid growing concerns about Odom’s substance abuse. Although the divorce papers were signed in July 2015, Kardashian paused the proceedings when Odom was found unconscious at a brothel with drugs in his system a few months later, choosing to support him through his recovery.

The couple’s divorce was ultimately finalized in December 2016, marking the end of a tumultuous chapter in Kardashian’s life.

In the same month that Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom, she was spotted spending time with Matt Kemp, a Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder who had previously dated Rihanna. Romance rumors began to circulate after Kemp posted a picture of Kris Jenner’s Christmas tree on Instagram, leading to speculation about their relationship. However, neither Kardashian nor Kemp ever confirmed any romantic involvement.

At the time, a source told PEOPLE, “They are just friends and have been for a long time. Khloé is absolutely heartbroken right now [over Lamar], and dating someone is the last thing she’s thinking about.” This indicated that, despite the public interest, Kardashian was primarily focused on coping with her emotional struggles rather than pursuing a new relationship.

Kardashian and rapper French Montana, whose real name is Karim Kharbouch, first sparked romance rumors in April 2014 during a brief relationship. The couple spent a lot of time together that summer, including at Kardashian’s 30th birthday celebration in Las Vegas. They briefly split in September 2014 but attempted to rekindle their romance, ultimately ending things for good in December 2014.

In a 2019 interview with Haute Living, French Montana reflected on their friendship post-relationship. “I feel like we had a real dope relationship — there was no bad blood, nobody did something to somebody that we couldn’t come back from,” he shared. He emphasized the difficulty of maintaining friendship after romance, expressing gratitude for their continued connection.

Rick Fox

In May 2015, Kardashian was spotted enjoying a late-night dinner date with former Lakers player Rick Fox. According to E! News, the two arrived at the restaurant separately around 11:45 p.m. and stayed until about 1:30 a.m. While their relationship didn’t develop beyond that evening, the outing certainly fueled romance rumors between the two.

James Harden

Kardashian and NBA star James Harden began dating in July 2015. By January, the reality star praised her multi-tasking skills for helping them find time for each other amid their busy schedules. “I mean, we make it work,” Kardashian shared with Entertainment Tonight. “I do like to put my relationships as a priority, and I really try to make that work. As long as people are making the effort to do so, I think anything can work.”

However, despite their best efforts, the couple ended their relationship in February 2016. A source revealed that the strain in their relationship intensified after Kardashian’s estranged husband, Lamar Odom, was hospitalized due to a drug overdose in October. Kardashian rushed to support Odom and paused her divorce proceedings to focus on his recovery.

“It hasn’t been easy,” the source explained. “James obviously has wanted to see her more and be with her more, but she’s felt like she needed to stay in L.A. to be with her family and deal with the Lamar situation. That has put some strain on things.”

Kardashian previously told PEOPLE that Harden had been very understanding during this difficult time, describing him as “very supportive and awesome.” She expressed her intent to let things unfold naturally, stating, “If it’s ever too overwhelming [for him], then I understand that as well.”

Trey Songz

In July 2016, Kardashian and Trey Songz were spotted sharing a kiss at a Las Vegas nightclub during the musician’s performance, as reported by ET. The following month, the two attended Kevin Hart’s wedding to Eniko Parrish together.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that “they are talking and hanging out, but it’s casual for now.” Although their romance quickly fizzled, the pair appeared to maintain a friendship, as they were seen chatting at Justin Bieber’s birthday party in 2022.

Tristan Thompson

Kardashian and Thompson began dating in September 2016 while the NBA player was expecting his first child with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig. Both have claimed that he was single when they first connected.

After months of public outings and plenty of PDA, the couple spent the holidays together and made their relationship Instagram official in January 2017. In September of that year, PEOPLE confirmed they were expecting their first child together.

In April 2018, just days after Kardashian gave birth, Thompson was spotted with another woman in New York City, leading to a flurry of cheating allegations. However, when their daughter True was born, Thompson was present, and a source shared that “Khloé is being the bigger person and letting Tristan bond with their baby.” Despite the scandal, Kardashian was willing to give Thompson another chance for the sake of their daughter, with sources noting that she was “committed to keeping her family together.”

Yet, less than a year later, in February 2019, Thompson faced accusations of cheating again, this time with Kardashian family friend Jordyn Woods. After Woods admitted to kissing Thompson but denied any intent to pursue him, Kardashian publicly lashed out on Twitter, blaming Woods for the breakup of her family. She later retracted her statement, saying, “I’m a rollercoaster of emotions… Honestly, Tristan cheating on me & humiliating me wasn’t such a shock as the first time… but Jordyn is not to be blamed for the breakup of my family. This was Tristan’s fault.”

The couple then paused their romantic relationship to focus on co-parenting, reuniting publicly for True’s first birthday party. In July 2020, a source told PEOPLE that Kardashian and Thompson were “giving their relationship another try,” and by August, they were officially back together.

Their relationship hit another rough patch in June 2021 when Thompson was seen partying with multiple women in Los Angeles. However, they continued to co-parent amicably. In December 2021, it was revealed that personal trainer Maralee Nichols was expecting a child with Thompson, leading him to publicly admit to cheating on Kardashian and fathering the child while apologizing to her.

In July 2022, Kardashian and Thompson announced they were expecting their second child via surrogate, welcoming a baby boy on August 5. During the season 2 premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kardashian shared that she had allowed Thompson to be present for the birth but was eager to “close that chapter and be done with this trauma and put it behind me.”

In December 2022, Kardashian took a lie detector test. During the interrogation, her sister Kourtney Kardashian Barker asked if she was still sleeping with Thompson. Kardashian responded, “No, I am not. I’m really not.” The polygraph examiner confirmed her truthfulness, prompting her to exclaim, “I would die if it said I was.”
