Actor Keanu Reeves took the racetrack by storm this past Saturday, making an adrenalin-filled debut in professional auto racing at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Taking part in the Toyota GR Cup Series race, the Hollywood star from “The Matrix” fame nearly tangled metal when he spun out on lap nine, gracefully skidding onto the grass and dodging a potential collision with another speedster.
Actor Reeves, who took 31st place in qualifying among 35 speed demons, showed off his competitive spirit as he crossed the finish line in 25th place after the hectic 45-minute chase.

“I think being that close to it, just seeing the speed and the way that they’re going at the turns and exiting the turns is something unbelievable,” recounted a buzzing Reeves post-race, reflecting on the intoxicating rush of high-speed competition.
In an ode to his other artistic ventures, Reeves maneuvered the No. 92 BRZRKR car, which serves as a rolling advertisement for his graphic novel “The Book of Elsewhere.”
