Social media influencer Jake Paul has thrown his support behind Donald Trump for the forthcoming U.S. election, but he is unable to cast a ballot himself.
Americans mark their calendars for Nov. 5, 2024, as they prepare to elect a leader who will occupy the Oval Office for four years beginning in early 2025. With former president Trump securing his place as the Republican frontrunner, he’s set to square off against Democrat Vice-President Kamala Harris.
This year’s electoral battle is gearing up to be tightly fought, drawing fervent discussions nationwide. Enter ‘The Problem Child’ Paul, joining the fray via social platforms to guide the public on where to toss their support.
Despite relinquishing his voting privileges following his move to Puerto Rico, the 27-year-old took to social media releasing an 18-minute manifesto on Thursday afternoon. Advocating for Trump, Paul tackles themes such as economic policy, and immigration, and even touches on transgender issues as reasons swaying him towards backing Trump.
He opens with a call for a shift in leadership: “We need to change from Kamala Harris to the Republican candidate, Donald Trump”, states the outspoken content creator.
“I would also argue that Donald Trump is protecting women by not letting 15 million illegal immigrants through the borders. 662,566 have criminal histories, 13,000 convicted of homicide, and so on. Having those unidentified roaming the streets, I believe arguably is a bigger potential threat to the women of America.”
Despite Paul’s insistence that he doesn’t care if people criticize the 27-year-old online, he expressed his respect for Trump, citing his independence from financial influence as a key factor in his decision-making abilities. ”And me personally, I don’t really like politicians, it’s, ‘Oh look at me, I’m nice, I’m this, I’m perfect, this is what I’m going to do'”, he added. “I like the fact that Donald Trump is a businessman, who has billions of dollars and won’t be influenced by some deal or treaty that’s going to make himself personally rich.”
‘The Problem Child’, who is gearing up for his Nov. 15 bout with Mike Tyson, urged viewers to back the former President, insisting it’s the ‘right thing’ for the nation. “Do the right thing, vote for Donald Trump”, he concluded.
“Not because I said so, not because Beyonce said so, but because it’s what’s right. I’ve got news for you, most of your favorite celebrities, athletes and all of that are secretly conservative because the left has created a world where conservatives like me speaking out have major, major consequences. It’s only ok for a celebrity to speak out and endorse the left and that’s only going to get worse unless people like myself stand up and say, ‘f— the system!’.”
