Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady has been branded as “bitter” after making some “petty” comments about his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen and their two children, Benjamin and Vivian, with the Brazilian beauty vowing to “hit back hard”
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is reportedly “furious” over recent comments made by her ex-husband, NFL legend Tom Brady, regarding his approach to parenting.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion and widely regarded as one of the greatest NFL players in history, split from Bundchen in 2022 after 16 years and two children together, Benjamin and Vivian. The couple’s kids also have a half-brother, Jack, from Brady’s previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
The pair’s breakup was attributed to a variety of factors, including differing priorities and Brady’s unexpected decision to come out of retirement and sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he clinched his seventh and final Vince Lombardi Trophy. It comes after a fellow sports star slammed Brady as “very unfair” and declared: “He doesn’t really understand.”
Despite their divorce, both Bundchen and Brady emphasized that they ended things on good terms and continue to co-parent their children. However, Brady’s recent remarks about his parenting philosophy, which he says revolves around setting a good example, working hard, and providing for his family through his football career, have apparently ruffled feathers. This often meant spending less time at home.
“I think part of being a great father is being a great example of doing what it takes to take care of your family. I chose to do it by playing football,” Brady shared in a newsletter to fans.
“My dedication to the sport, the hours of practice, the moments when I was laser focused – those were times when I believe I was doing the best possible thing for my family and my kids, by prioritizing my profession and teaching, by example, what it takes to be really good at your job, what it takes to follow through on commitments, what it takes to be a great teammate; and showing them, also by example, that work is a big part of all of our lives,” he continued.
Bundchen, who has since moved on with Joaquim Valente, a jiu-jitsu instructor, and welcomed a third child, is reportedly “furious” over Brady’s “bitter” comments about parenting. According to the National Inquirer, Bundchen is “ready to hit back hard” if Brady continues.
“People have warned him that Gisele won’t stand for it, but Tom’s been sitting back and holding his tongue for too long and he can’t do it anymore,” an insider revealed. “Tom has a different take on parenting than Gisele and he’s merely sticking up for himself.
“At least, that’s the way he sees it. The more he reflects on it, the more cross he is about how she treated him during the marriage and how she complained about him pursuing his passion. He just had to say something.
“Word from Gisele’s camp is that she’s furious and thinks he’s acting bitter and being a nuisance.
“Since they split, all she wanted was to do her thing privately – but now here’s Tom needlessly stoking the fire with these statements.”
It comes as fans were left astonished by Brady’s incredible physical transformation from throwback pics.
