For the first time in its history, ESPN’s College GameDay is heading to Berkeley this weekend for an exciting matchup between Cal and Miami. This landmark visit to the West Coast marks a significant milestone as the iconic pregame show checks another college football campus off its list of must-visit locations. With Cal’s inclusion, only five campuses remain unvisited by College GameDay: Rutgers, Illinois, Maryland, Syracuse, and Virginia.
Ahead of the weekend, Cal alum Aaron Rodgers joined The Pat McAfee Show to preview his alma mater’s big moment on College GameDay. True to form, the conversation was filled with Rodgers’ signature lighthearted banter.
Rodgers enthusiastically shared some of his favorite spots in Berkeley, offering McAfee a guide to the best local eats. He praised a beloved hot dog joint as a “staple” and reminisced about a popular burrito spot that he frequently visited during his time as a player with the Golden Bears.
