I’m pretty sure that each and every one of us has that one word or phrase that makes us jump as soon as we hear it.
It might be someone’s name, a famous location, or something that reminds us of an inside joke we have with our friends, or maybe the name of our favorite dish. Whatever it may be, it sure can get a reaction out of us.
If we get so riled up over our favorite words, imagine how excited dogs get when they hear theirs!
What Did You Say?!
After a trend emerged on social media where hoomans pretended to be on a phone call, mentioning their pups’ favorite words, one dog owner decided to do the same.
With her pup, Marvel, on the bed, she sat in front of him, pretending that the remote control was a phone, and began “talking” to her friend.
Just like any dog out there, Marvel loves treats. So, his hooman decided to use that as the very first word. And since peanut butter treats are his favorite, she made sure to specify.
“Did you get the treats? Well, he specifically wanted peanut butter. Yeah, peanut butter treats,” she said in the video.
This sure did wake up Marvel’s ears!
The hooman then continued with some other words that sure are loved in the pup community.
“Yeah, ’cause we are going to go for a ride later. We are going to go to… I think we are going to go for a ride and go to daycare camp,” she continued.
Hearing the words ‘ride’ and ‘daycare camp’, Marvel immediately started rolling his head around the bed.

However, this pupper really got interested when he heard this one specific name being mentioned.
“Well I don’t know what we are going to do but I am hoping that Sarah will be there,” she said.
As soon as Marvel heard his hooman say ‘Sarah’, he was so excited that he practically jumped out of bed.
His hooman then mentioned some other names, like Farrell, Grandma, and Bella, which made him even more excited.
But the funniest thing was when his hooman mentioned tacos.
“Maybe we will go get some tacos. We can go get a taco,” his owner said.
The second the word ‘taco’ got to his ears, Marvel jumped up and ran away.
This made his hooman burst out in laughter because she didn’t know why that specific word riled him up so much – Marvel has never had tacos in his life!
“He doesn’t know what a taco is. He’s never had one!” she burst out laughing.

What do you think was the reason why Marvel had such a strong reaction to an unknown word?
My guess is that he was no longer able to control his desires for his favorite things, so he had to go somewhere quiet to collect himself.
Well, whatever the reason is, I hope he got his taco in the end!
