Following the arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Hollywood has come to a standstill, with many closely watching the ongoing investigation into the music mogul’s empire and life. While several celebrities have commented on his arrest, many close to him have remained silent, and political commentator Candace Owens is not pleased.
In a lengthy YouTube livestream, Owens made several harsh and critical statements about the events following Diddy’s arrest. Although she praised Justin Bieber as a child victim, the media personality attacked NBA star LeBron James for staying silent after having praised the imprisoned musician’s parties.
While problems in Diddy’s paradise had been brewing for some time, they escalated when the mogul was arrested and charged with human trafficking, organized crime, conspiracy, and transportation for prostitution. Now in jail until his trial begins, federal authorities are conducting a thorough investigation (via Rolling Stone).
Amid all this, those close to the music mogul are conveniently quiet, or as a source close to Fox News claims, “scared to death” for having participated in Diddy’s illicit sex parties known as Freak Offs. While it’s unclear which of Diddy’s many parties were Freak Offs, it is known that celebrities like LeBron James have attended his events (see PageSix).
James has managed to maintain a clean record for most of his career, but it seems he now faces a hurdle and finds himself amid one of Hollywood’s biggest scandals. Having attended Diddy’s parties in the past (see TMZ), he once praised the creator of “I Need a Girl” for hosting the best parties. “Everyone knows there’s no party like a Diddy party,” the NBA star stated in an Instagram Live (via X). As recordings of James’s past statements went viral, many viewed his comments in a new light, given the details of what transpired at those parties. While some found it hard to believe, others on social media unearthed videos of him with Diddy at his parties (see X).

Candace Owens has never shied away from verbally attacking celebrities or holding them accountable. Recently, a supposed memoir by Kim Porter surfaced on retail sites, consisting of alleged diaries from the late model and Diddy’s ex. Now a bestseller on Amazon (see Billboard), Owens discussed the book and Diddy’s arrest during a YouTube livestream.
In the video, the media personality spoke about Justin Bieber, labeling him a “child victim,” linking his past problematic behavior to Diddy. While she forgave Bieber, she made biting remarks about NBA legend LeBron James and his silence following the music mogul’s arrest.
It seems everything is crumbling in Hollywood. There are many people who should be called out—people who were not young like Justin Bieber, people like LeBron James, who has openly talked about how great Diddy’s parties are and traveled with him.
Owens did not stop there and attacked James’s “king” status:
“This person is supposed to be the King. I’m waiting for ‘the King’ to come out and condemn this, condemn what we now all know to be a reality.”
Although James has yet to make any statement, a source close to Bieber told PEOPLE that the 30-year-old singer is focused on himself and his family and does not want to comment on Diddy.
With so much happening in Hollywood and the investigation into the allegations against Diddy ongoing, only time will tell how all of this will unfold for the music mogul and all those close to him.
