Buffalo Bills Star Delivers Blatant Cheap Shot by Kneeling Baltimore Ravens Player in the Face, Sparking Controversy and Outrage Among Fans and Analysts .Giang

Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Dawuane Smoot is likely to be punished by the NFL after being seen to have kneed Baltimore Ravens full-back Patrick Ricard after a play on Sunday Night Football.

The Bills had been chasing the game from the first drive and went on to be dominated by the Ravens, with their defensive unit looking incredibly aggravated – with Smoot taking it too far with his reaction to the full-back falling in front of him.

Smoot was penalized for unnecessary roughness for the cheap shot, with fans online stating that he should have been instantly ejected from the game.

“He’s about to get a huge fine for that. What an idiot,” one wrote, as another said: ““He should be ejected. How isn’t this an ejection?”

The Ravens led the game early after Derrick Henry scored from an 87-yard run to roll back the years in an incredible solo play, before he scored another receiving touchdown with Baltimore going into the half with a commanding 21-3 lead.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Justice Hill added two further touchdowns to cap off an impressive 35-10 win over the Bills, with Baltimore moving to a 2-2 record.

Smoot, a backup lineman for the Bills, is likely to learn the severity of punishment he’ll receive in the coming days – with a suspension unlikely but a fine to be certain. Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was fined a whopping $45,000 for lowering his helmet – something he was fined twice for in the 2023 season with the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Bills have one of the strongest defensive rosters in the league, but struggled to contain Jackson and Henry in the game, in what was a much-needed win for the Ravens after starting the season with an 0-2 record, now getting back to .500.

Buffalo, meanwhile, has moved to a 3-1 record – set to face the Houston Texans, New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks in the coming weeks. While Baltimore will come up against Joe Burrow’s 1-3 Cincinnati Bengals who will be in need of another win, before facing the Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
