Nick Cannon got candid about the women and children in his life, and why he isn’t for the term ‘co-parenting,’ during his recent podcast episode for Nick Cannon @ Night
Nick Cannon isnt a fan of the term co-parenting, and he explained why he wasnt during a recent episode of his Nick Cannon @ Night podcast when he answered a fans question.
“Curious to hear Nick’s perspective on managing multiple co-parenting relationships while dating. It’s a unique situation that could offer some real insights for blended families,” the listener penned on X, previously known as Twitter. The former Nickelodeon star answered that he had “always kind of had an issue” with the term “co-parenting, rather, he viewed it as actually just “parenting.”
Nick continued: “When you start throwing labels on things, I think it does more harm than help and can get very dangerous, because then everybody else has a preconceived notion of what you’re doing.”
I haven’t figured it out yet. I haven’t gotten it all the way right. But also to your point, if I just step into every situation with respect and compassion and individuality. That’s the other thing I always do with anyone I’m involved with in my life.”
The Drumline star then spoke about the mothers of his 12 children, admitting that he tries to cherish each of his baby mamas.
“I don’t bunch them together. I really try my hardest not to be like, ‘Oh yeah, my baby mamas’, you know, unless I’m telling a joke or something like that, but no one wants to be grouped into anything,” Nick said.
He added, “Everyone wants to be treated like an individual with respect and compassion.”
Nick clarified that he shares his children with six different women after comedian Flame Monroe, his guest on the show, asked the actor the number of baby mamas he had.
Flame then asked Nick if all of his baby mamas got along, prompting him to confess, “No! Do you know six women anywhere that get along?”
Last month, Nick divulged to People what it was like having Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi as the mother of one of his many kids.
Shes built for this,” he said then. “Shes a rockstar. Shes a superstar. She’s an amazing mom, amazing businesswoman and truly like a boss.
He further expressed, I mean when you see her on Selling Sunset and even how she moves on her own, you know, it’s content, [but] it’s not a facade, he said, adding, She don’t need [advice], I need to get some advice from her.
While he and Bre share a three-year-old son, Legendary Love, Monroe, Moroccan, Golden, Powerful, Zion, Zillion, Zen, Legendary, Onyx, Rise, Beautiful, and Halo are shared with six different women, including Mariah Carey.
