In the harrowing clip, which will be shown in an upcoming documentary, Kanye West reveals to his former wife, Kim Kardashian, that he’s ‘stopped taking his meds’
A never-before-seen clip has been released showing Kanye West exploding at Kim Kardashian whilst she’s crying.
The clip is shown as part of the trailer for a new documentary, In Whose Name?, which focuses on the 48-year-old rapper. The movie follows Kanye’s life as he stopped taking his medication for bipolar disorder, with the then-couple’s relationship soon deteriorating after. Kanye later claimed he was actually diagnosed with autism.
In the trailer, Kim can be heard crying as she tells her then-husband, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago.” This is when Kanye responds with, “I’m off my meds for five months now.”
In another scene from the documentary, Kim can be seen trying to calm down Kanye after he yells, “Never tell me Im gonna wake up one day, and have nothing!” Kim tries to interject, “We can talk about that later, but,” to which Kanye replies, “It aint no but!”
However, the documentary is said not to focus solely on his relationship with Kim; it will also look at his presidential candidacy, his Sunday Service events, and his clothing lines, as well as the Yeezy “White Lives Matter” controversy.
“I would rather be dead than be on medication,” Kanye exclaimed during the trailer. “Either they destroy me, or I destroy it.” The Gold Digger rapper then said at another point, “Theyre killing our ability to think outside the box!”
The trailer for the documentary, which is directed by Nicolas Ballesteros, then concludes with Kanye saying: “You know the best thing about being an artist and bipolar? Anything you do and say is an art piece.”
The documentary is also reported to be made up of footage taken over six years. It will be released on September 19.
Kanye has been at the center of controversy for several years, especially surrounding his views on Jewish people and White Lives Matter. On one occasion, he wrote on X, “Im a bit sleepy tonight, but when I wake up, Im going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE,” and on another, he said, “I prefer my kids knew Hannukah from Kwanzaa. At least it will come with some financial engineering.” This behavior led to him being dropped by his talent agency, as well as numerous brands.
He’s also faced backlash for how he’s styled his wife, Bianca Censori. In February, they attended the Grammys, where Bianca turned up wearing a “naked” mesh dress, revealing her breasts and other parts of her body..
