Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has admitted that he feels the “next step” in his relationship Taylor Swift will happen naturally – as speculation abounds over whether the pair will get engaged.

The romance between the football legend and his pop superstar girlfriend has inspired intrigue among sports and music fans alike since the duo went public last September. Since then their courtship has played out in the glare of the spotlight, with Swift regularly in attendance at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her beau.

Likewise, Kelce has returned the gesture, flying around the globe to be present at his love’s dates on her world tour during the NFL offseason previously. As their relationship goes from strength to strength, rumors have circulated that the Chiefs superstar may be preparing to pop the question of marriage in due course.

During a rare exchange about his personal life, the younger Kelce brother opened up to sibling Jason during a telling conversation on their “New Heights” podcast. Going into detail about his relationship with his chart-topping girlfriend, he said: “I feel like [it’s] when you know someone’s life.

“When you see someone’s day-to-day and you can understand that, and you get into a routine of being with that person or talking to that person about their daily routines consistently,” he continued, with his words indicating true domestic bliss between the duo. “You naturally just feel the genuine connection.”

Appearing to touch upon his plans for the long-term, Kelce admitted to thinking about the future as he expressed his belief that there is a desire from both of them to “get to that next step faster.” The three-time Super Bowl victor then divulged that he feels that their next chapter will develop “naturally.”

Meanwhile, Jason was on hand to offer his younger brother some life advice, interjecting: “You’ve got to make that decision, especially if you’ve got roommates. You’ll know, if you want to do it, you’ll do it. That’s how you know. And then, if she wants to do it, then you both end up doing it. Not in that way, but moving in a way.”

The former Philadelphia Eagles star also acknowledged that his brother and his girlfriend may need to have some “more serious conversations” about their “values,” asking his sibling to ponder: “What do we believe in, what do we want our life to be individually, and with the person.”

Having tied the knot with wife Kylie, Jason spoke from experience, asserting: “You start thinking about the stuff and the more you line up … you just keep kind of rolling. Or you say, ‘I don’t want to deal with that stuff,’ and go find another person,” as Travis agreed, adding: “That’s the love train. You either jump on or jump off.”
