Tom Brady seemed to be in a reflective mood following the announcement of his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen’s pregnancy with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente. Shortly after the news broke, Brady, 47, posted a serene sunset photo on his Instagram Stories, accompanied by The Chicks’ cover of “Landslide” playing in the background.
He highlighted some of the song’s introspective lyrics: “Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love? / Can the child within my heart rise above? / Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?” To complete the emotional tone, Brady added three red heart emojis above the lyrics.
Gisele Bündchen, 44, and Valente, her boyfriend since summer 2023, confirmed the pregnancy just hours earlier, with sources close to the couple sharing their excitement. “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family,” an insider told People.
Bündchen and Brady share two children: son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11. Brady also has a son, Jack, 17, from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. For Bündchen, the new baby will be her third, marking a significant step forward with Valente.

Bündchen and Valente first crossed paths professionally, collaborating in 2021 for a photoshoot in Dust magazine, where he worked as her jiu-jitsu instructor.
Since then, Valente has become a central figure in Bündchen’s life, a transition her children have embraced warmly. “Her kids really like him,” a source revealed, adding that Valente has been “living at [Bündchen’s] house in Miami for a while.” Bündchen’s friends have noted her happiness, saying she’s “head over heels” for Valente and that their chemistry is “unlike anything they’ve seen before.”
Their relationship reportedly blossomed from friendship into romance in early 2023. An insider previously explained that Valente was a supportive friend during Bündchen’s divorce from Brady, with their bond growing deeper as they shared interests in fitness, wellness, and their shared Brazilian heritage.
This connection allowed Bündchen to feel a sense of familiarity she hadn’t experienced with others.
Despite their relationship beginning while Bündchen was still married, she has been adamant that there was no overlap.
In an interview with The New York Times earlier this year, Bündchen dismissed speculation of infidelity. “That is a lie,” she asserted, explaining that women often face unfair assumptions when they end an “unhealthy relationship.” She added, “Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”
Brady and Bündchen finalized their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage, each expressing gratitude for their time together and a mutual dedication to co-parenting. “We arrived at this decision amicably,” Brady wrote at the time, stating that their children would remain “the center of our world in every way.”
As Bündchen embarks on this new chapter with Valente, Brady has been focusing on quality time with his kids. Recently, the former NFL star attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Miami with sons Benjamin and Jack.
Posting a photo of the trio enjoying the show, he captioned it, “The gang does @taylorswift. I think I learned I’m a Reputation guy.”
