Colorado Buffaloes two-way superstar Travis Hunter has officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, and attention has immediately turned toward potential landing spots.
The 21-year-old, who is one of the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy this year, will undoubtedly be picked inside the top five at next April’s picking process at the legendary Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers. Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is also likely to be picked extremely high in the first round, paying testament to how his father, NFL legend Deion Sanders, has run the football program over the last two seasons.
“That’s definitely for sure,” Hunter told reporters when asked if he’ll be turning professional following the conclusion of the 2024 college football season. Whatever team manages to get their hands on Hunter has two positions he can be deployed in and they happen to be on both sides of the ball.
Hunter has become an established cornerback as well as a wide receiver in Boulder. Mirror U.S. Sports assesses potential landing spots for Hunter at next year’s NFL Draft.

Jacksonville Jaguars
At present, the 2-9 Jacksonville Jaguars will have their hands on the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which they could use on Hunter. The Jags could draft Hunter despite left tackle also being a position they need to address.
They combine him with Tyson Campbell to create a legitimate 1-2 at cornerback. Additionally, should rookie Jarrian Jones continue to develop at slot cornerback, Jacksonville could have their hands on quite the trio.
Cleveland Browns
This could largely hinge on the Cleveland Browns’ decision surrounding Deshaun Watson. They paid the quarterback big not long ago – but he’d also be returning from a 2024, season-ending ACL injury.

Should they stick with Watson and not go after a quarterback in the upcoming draft class, the current 2-8 team could look to bolster their ranks with Hunter. Cleveland also lost Amari Cooper in a trade to the Buffalo Bills so they could try Hunter on both sides of the ball.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys’ woes in 2024 look set to continue after Dak Prescott was ruled out for the remainder of the season. The iconic NFL franchise sits 3-7 but that could worsen over the coming weeks.
The Cowboys is where Hunter’s current coach, Deion Sanders, played during his legendary career. The Cowboys have suffered immensely on defense in 2024 They could add another corner to compliment Trevon Diggs on the other side.
