Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, teammates on the Kansas City Chiefs, were reportedly victims of home burglaries last month.
TMZ Sports reports that the break-in at Mahomes‘ luxury mansion in Belton, Missouri was first reported around midnight on October 6. Just hours later, on October 7, it’s alleged that Kelce’s $6 million home in Leawood, Kansas was targeted. This happened to be the same day the Chiefs triumphed over the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium, with Taylor Swift also at the game cheering from the stands.
The report suggests $20,000 in cash was stolen from Travis‘ house, along with damage to his back door. It remains unclear if anything was taken from Mahomes’ property, with the FBI currently investigating both incidents.

The burglary at Kelce’s property was reported to police sometime on October 8. According to TMZ’s report, the Chiefs pair may have fallen victim to a larger crime wave in the Kansas City area last month.

The involvement of the FBI reportedly indicates it’s not just a local burglary spree, suggesting it could involve organised crime crossing state lines. Neither Kelce or Mahomes have publicly commented on the police incident.
In a recent revelation, Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, has shared that she’s distanced herself from people she was once close to following her split with the NFL star over two years ago. The 32 year old content creator was romantically involved with Kelce, now 35, from 2017 to 2022.
Post their break-up, Kayla opened up about her relationship with Travis and how it affected her friendships with those in his circle. Speaking on the Unapologetically Angel podcast with Angel Reese, she confessed: “I think behind closed doors, the hardest part about a break-up is just losing like a partner and a best friend and this person that you talk to every single day.”
In the episode aired last month, Kayla further elaborated: “You go from speaking every day to having to really like cut ties, and that goes for not just the person you’re in a relationship with, but like even they’re family, and they’re friends and people that you’ve grown close to. I think that’s a huge challenge.”
It’s speculated that Kayla was once close to the partners of Kelce’s teammates during her time with the athlete.
However, insiders told Marca that Kayla feels Taylor Swift’s presence has changed group dynamics, leading to her feeling isolated from her former friends.
The report suggests that she feels “pushed out” of the spotlight due to Taylor, who is often spotted at the team’s games and occasionally mingles with the partners of Travis’ teammates. Last week, RadarOnline reported that Nicole hinted at losing friendships after her breakup with Travis.
When asked if she still had a friendly relationship with the other players’ partners, Kayla, without naming anyone specifically, said: “We are not as cool as we once were.”
Nicole also mentioned that transitioning post-breakup was “hard” as her now distant friends used to be “like family”. Kayla had previously spoken specifically about her friendship with Brittany Mahomes, 29, wife of Travis’ friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes, 29.
It was reported last year that Kayla had stopped following Brittany on social media, despite their previous closeness. Kayla and Travis even served as bridesmaid and groomsman respectively at Brittany and Patrick’s wedding back in 2022.
Kayla opened up about the dynamics of her friendship with Brittany, amidst rumours that Brittany has grown close to Travis Kelce’s new flame, Taylor Swift.
In a confessional to People previously, Kayla disclosed that she had “communicated” to Brittany her motives for her social media behavior, yet assured that their connection is unshaken. She elaborated: “That’s a lot of history and friendship there, that doesn’t change overnight. But publicly, because things are happening so quickly and so publicly, I have to protect myself. That’s really all that is.”
