“Yesterday, I got to have the baby shower of my dreams,” Marissa shared in a heartfelt Instagram post. “Thank you everyone who came out and celebrated me and baby girl. She is already so loved, and I couldn’t be more proud to know such amazing, beautiful women!! They say it takes a village & I’m so grateful for mine! I love you guys and thank you for making this day truly so special.”
The shower, themed “Baby in Bloom,” featured plenty of thoughtful details that created a whimsical atmosphere. Guests were treated to an outdoor flower truck, where they could build their own colorful bouquets, adding a personal and charming touch to the event.
The brunch spread included an array of bagels, sandwiches, and cupcakes, ensuring that everyone was well-fed and happy. To complete the setup, an outdoor bar was available for refreshments, making it an unforgettable afternoon.
One particularly sentimental piece of decor was a wicker baby carriage that Marissa had bought during her early days living in Jacksonville. She included the carriage as part of the setup for the shower, sharing its special meaning with her guests. “I bought this the first year living in Jax at an antique shop to use for my baby shower one day!” Marissa exclaimed in an Instagram Story. “I always knew I wanted to do ‘baby in bloom,’ and this was the perfect detail to add. I can’t believe it’s 3+ years later, and I’m finally using it to celebrate becoming a mom and showering baby girl! So special.”

The Lawrence family’s journey in Jacksonville began in 2021 when Trevor Lawrence was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, transitioning from a standout college career at Clemson to the professional stage.
Marissa and Trevor tied the knot in April 2021, just months before they made the move to Jacksonville and embarked on this new chapter of their lives together.
Since then, the couple has experienced the ups and downs of NFL life.
Trevor has faced both successes and challenges with the Jaguars, and this season has proven to be another roller-coaster ride, with the team currently holding a 2-7 record. Despite the challenges on the field, Marissa and Trevor have continued to remain positive, leaning on their support system during the highs and lows.
Trevor Lawrence, who received a five-year, $275 million contract extension during the offseason, has been dealing with a significant AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, according to NFL.com.
Though the injury is on his non-throwing shoulder, it has still presented difficulties, as it makes even basic movements painful. Lawrence sustained the injury during last week’s game against the Eagles, which ended in a 28-23 loss for the Jaguars.
Due to the injury, Lawrence was unable to play in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Instead, backup quarterback Mac Jones took the field for Jacksonville. Jones, who was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, was traded to the Jaguars in March, giving the team an experienced backup to step in while Lawrence recovers.
