Naomi Campbell has recently faced serious repercussions following a watchdog investigation into her charity, “Fashion for Relief.” The inquiry uncovered significant financial misconduct, leading to her being banned from managing the charity’s funds for five years.
The investigation revealed that Campbell allegedly misappropriated charity funds for personal luxuries. Reports indicate she spent tens of thousands of pounds on lavish hotel stays, flights, spa treatments, personal security, and even cigarettes. Additionally, large unauthorized consultancy fees, amounting to hundreds of thousands, were reportedly paid to a trustee friend of hers, Bianca Helmet, who has now been banned from serving as a trustee for nine years. Another trustee, Veronica Chu, also faced a four-year ban for her involvement.
Since its inception in 2016, “Fashion for Relief” raised approximately £4.8 million; however, only about £389,000 was allocated for grants. This staggering disparity raises serious concerns about the charity’s operations and Campbell’s management. If the allegations are proven true, they could tarnish her reputation significantly, painting her as one of the most egregious offenders in the celebrity philanthropic realm.
The backlash against Campbell has been swift and intense. Many have criticized her for allegedly using funds intended to help those in need to support her lavish lifestyle. In response to the investigation, Campbell issued a statement expressing her shock at the findings and claiming she was not in control of the charity’s finances, stating, “I just found out today about the findings, and I’m extremely concerned.”

Just prior to the charity scandal breaking, both women had a public spat at a fashion show where Rihanna appeared to snub Campbell and her friend, La La Roach. The two had previously engaged in social media mockery regarding each other’s fashion choices, intensifying their rivalry, which reportedly stems from both women having dated the same billionaire, Hassan Jameel.
Given the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Campbell, sources close to Rihanna have indicated that she feels no sympathy for Campbell, believing she deserves the consequences of her actions.
