The 2024 season continued to get worse for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday as they faced a crushing 40-7 loss to the Washington Commanders.
The Commanders lost starting quarterback Jayden Daniels due to a rib injury in the first quarter but still managed to pile on the points against the Panthers.
Carolina starting quarterback Andy Dalton had just 93 passing yards and two interceptions and the Panthers couldn’t get much going on the ground either, totaling just 95 rushing yards.
Carolina has now lost four games in a row and dropped to 1-6 on the year. All six of their losses have been by double-digits.
After another blowout loss, NFL fans trolled the Panthers and team owner David Tepper.
The Panthers decided to bench second-year quarterback Bryce Young after Week 2 in favor of Dalton and it worked out well at first as he led them to a win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Now after four straight losses, it’s clear Young was far from the only problem.
Carolina had its second-worst season in franchise history a year ago when it went 2-15, but the Panthers seem capable of doing even worse this season if something doesn’t change soon.
