Mike Tyson has dropped a bombshell hint that he might not hang up his gloves after his much-anticipated bout with YouTuber-turned-pugilist Jake Paul.
The iconic former undisputed heavyweight world champion called it quits on his professional boxing career in 2005, famously retiring after opting out of the fight against Kevin McBride. Despite this, ‘Iron Mike’ made a return for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. four years ago.
Tyson, hailed as one of the all-time greats in the heavyweight division, boasts a record of 50 wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws. In his heyday, the now 58 year old was a dominant force in the ring, becoming the youngest ever heavyweight champion at age 20 by defeating Trevor Berbick in 1986.

His illustrious career saw him overpower legends like Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks, and Frank Bruno. Fans are eagerly awaiting his re-entry into the ring, with the face-off against Paul set for Friday, November 15, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, potentially before a crowd of 90,000.
While many speculate that Tyson’s upcoming fight could be a singular event, the man himself has suggested otherwise. Speaking to talkSPORT, Tyson entertained the idea of future fights, saying: “It’s a possibility”.
Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has hinted at a potential rematch with Mike Tyson, over 20 years after their first bout in 2002. The British boxer emerged victorious in the eighth round of their previous face-off, retaining his WBC, IBF, IBO and Ring heavyweight world titles. Now, with ‘Iron Mike’ potentially seeking to even the score, ‘The Lion’ hasn’t dismissed the idea of a second showdown.

In a chat with TMZ, Lewis stated: “Let’s see how he makes out in this fight first. I have spoken to Mike, just about fighting. Let’s hope his health is ok. You can’t see things on the outside that may be affecting you on the inside. I wouldn’t want to say he is okay then all of a sudden something happens”.
Meanwhile, in a 2020 interview with Fox Sports, Tyson was asked if he would consider a trilogy fight with Evander Holyfield. His response? “Absolutely. Holyfield, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder.”
However, when questioned about a serious bid for a heavyweight world title at his age, he clarified: “Hell no, I’m talking about exhibitions man. Helping people and stuff, that’s bigger than a title. The title’s nothing man, it’s not even real gold – it’s tin and metal.”
