‘FOX NFL Sunday’ host Michael Strahan was seen shoving a phone camera out of his face when being approached outside of his home by a reporter.
Strahan, a former Super Bowl champion with the New York Giants, has faced criticism from some fans who found his stance disrespectful while the national anthem was played on Sunday. FOX NFL Sunday hosted a special Veterans Day program live from Naval Base San Diego, and Strahan stood with his hands crossed at the waist.
His co-stars which include Terry Bradshaw and Rob Gronkowski, placed their right hand over their heart. The incident has led to backlash from fans with some calling him disrespectful, and a reporter attempted to get Strahan to comment on the situation.

Strahan, who is yet to respond to the criticism, was unhappy with the reporter approaching his residence and shoved the camera out of his face while it was recording. Strahan was heard saying “don’t come to my house” before entering his home with his girlfriend Kayla Quick.
FOX is standing by Strahan through the process, with a source telling the Daily Mail he won’t be disciplined and that the ordeal is an internet controversy and nothing more. Strahan is very connected to the military, with his father serving 23 years in the army and a member of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Strahan grew up in Germany due to his father, Major Gene W. Strahan, Sr., being based there at the time. Strahan attended Mannheim American High School, which is a school for military dependents operated by the U.S. Department of Defense.
The former NFL star has been seen visiting wounded service members at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany and Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Strahan has also worked with a military nonprofit organization called Merging Vets and Players, which connects retired military veterans with retired athletes in the hopes of easing the transition of both members.

The FOX host also paid tribute to his late father on Veterans Day, uploading two photos of him in uniform to Instagram. Strahan wrote in the caption: “Thank you to all veterans and active service members who courageously risk their lives to protect us every day.
“Your selfless service is beyond measure. This is my hero, it is also my father, Maj. Gene W. Strahan, Sr. He served for 23 years in the army and was a proud member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Just as I honor my father, I keep all of you in my thoughts each and every day as we would not have the safety and freedoms we cherish without you. Thank You. #VeteransDay.”
It’s expected that Strahan will continue to host FOX NFL Sunday on Nov. 17, as Week 11 begins. Major Sunday clashes include Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills and a huge NFC North clash between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.
