Kevin and Danielle Jonas are looking back on some of their sweetest relationship memories.
The couple, who celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on Dec. 19, tied the knot at Oheka Castle in Huntington, N.Y., in 2009, and in the years since, they have been sure to revisit the special location.
One visit in particular was made especially memorable by a surprise meal planned by Danielle, 38.
“Like two years ago, [for] our anniversary, Dani surprised me,” Kevin, 37, recalls during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE tied to the couple’s partnership with Lowe’s. “We had our entire wedding dinner — the same menu, same desserts, everything — at the castle. It was just us.”
“It was really special,” Kevin adds.
As for their actual wedding 15 years ago, Kevin says one of the things he remembers most about the “magical and perfect” day was the “freak blizzard.”
“We had a tent that almost collapsed on all of our guests,” Kevin explains, while Danielle shares that everyone was trying to keep the wintry weather a secret.
“She would get nervous that people weren’t going to show up,” Kevin says of why everyone attempted to the keep the bride “away from the windows.”
But Danielle insists she was not a “bridezilla,” explaining that the title was more suited for the groom.
“I was like, whatever’s going to happen is going to happen, I was at that point,” she says of the snow storm. “He was more of like a bridezilla.”
“I wanted to throw a great party, which we did,” Kevin notes.

Ahead of this year’s wedding anniversary, the couple said their only plans for the day were taking their dog to the vet and that they celebrated early with an overnight stay in New York City.
“Maturity is realizing you don’t have to celebrate on the day,” the singer says.
In addition to marking their latest marriage milestone, the parents of two — they share daughters Alena, 10, and Valentina, 8 — also spent December gearing up for the holiday season through their partnership with Lowe’s.
“You walk through those [aisles] and you’re like, ‘There’s a gift for everyone here,’ ” Kevin says of the store.
One of the biggest parts of the Jonas family’s holiday traditions, though, are the cookies.
“There’s two,” Kevin says of their must-have holiday sweet treats. “There’s a pumpkin cookie that we grew up with my mom making and now Danielle makes them. My mom was like, ‘Go ahead, just make [them],’ because she makes them incredibly well. And then [a cookie] called an Italian Knot. It’s kind of like a white cookie with the glaze on it. That’s the best.”
