Josh Allen’s younger sister, Makenna Allen, has made her feelings about Taylor Swift abundantly clear: she’s a major fan. Amid the competitive tension between her brother’s team, the Buffalo Bills, and the Kansas City Chiefs—whose star tight end Travis Kelce is currently dating Swift—Makenna chose to voice her support for the pop superstar without taking sides in the football rivalry.
Following the Bills’ matchup against the Chiefs last Sunday, Makenna shared her enthusiasm for Taylor Swift by posting photos on social media. The pictures included snapshots of her and friends attending one of Swift’s “Eras Tour” concerts last Friday in Toronto.
Alongside these concert photos, Makenna also included several moments from Sunday’s game at Highmark Stadium, featuring herself and her family cheering on Josh Allen and the Bills. One of the images highlighted their mother, Lavonne, sporting the Bills’ signature blue and red colors.
Makenna captioned the reel, “From Taylor Swift on Friday to a Bills win on Sunday—This weekend hit all the right notes! #GoBills.” Her lighthearted post reflected her excitement about both the concert experience and the Bills’ victory, proving that she can support Swift while also celebrating her brother’s successes on the field.
However, Makenna’s positive tone came shortly after a different perspective from Ryleigh Spector, the wife of Bills linebacker Baylon Spector. Ryleigh made it known that she wasn’t exactly a fan of Taylor Swift. Following the Bills’ impressive 30-21 win over the Chiefs, Ryleigh took to Instagram to share her thoughts, writing, “9-2! Never a Swiftie,” referring to the Bills’ strong record this season.
Ryleigh’s Instagram post featured a photo of herself along with Ryan Bass, the wife of Bills kicker Tyler Bass and the daughter of former NFL punter Rick Tuten, as well as Brianna Pomerleau, the wife of Buffalo tight end Dalton Knox. The three women, all smiles, celebrated the Bills’ win, but Ryleigh’s comment about not being a fan of Swift caught the attention of Swifties online, leading to a strong reaction.
One fan responded to Ryleigh’s post with, “If it wasn’t for Low Class…She would have NO CLASS. Do better.” Others expressed their disapproval, with one person stating, “The jealousy always shows up,” while another added, “Never classy either.” One Swiftie even commented, “Yeah, nobody cares if those three show up at a Bills game or not! They are irrelevant.”
The backlash highlighted the passionate loyalty of Swift’s fanbase, particularly as Swift has increasingly become a part of the NFL’s cultural fabric due to her relationship with Travis Kelce. Though Ryleigh was merely expressing her opinion, it was enough to provoke the ire of Swift’s ardent supporters.
Taylor Swift’s connection to the NFL has been steadily growing ever since her relationship with Kelce went public last September.
Although Swift did not attend last Sunday’s big AFC matchup, her presence still loomed large, with fans and media speculating on how the relationship impacts the Chiefs’ games.
Swift had previously attended the Bills-Chiefs matchup during last season’s AFC Divisional Round, where she was seen meeting Travis’ brother Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie, for the first time.
That game ended with heartbreak for the Bills, as the Chiefs eliminated them from the playoffs for the third time in four years.
Given the intense history between the Bills and the Chiefs, it’s no surprise that there is some lingering animosity. Their postseason clashes have made them fierce rivals, with memorable moments and thrilling games.
Despite the playoff losses, the Bills have managed to come out on top in their last three regular-season meetings with Kansas City.
With both teams being among the best in the AFC, there’s a high probability that they could be on a collision course for yet another postseason showdown this year.
While the rivalry continues on the field, the off-field drama adds another layer to the story. Makenna Allen’s support for Taylor Swift and her enjoyment of both the concert and the Bills’ win served as a reminder that the world of sports and pop culture are often intertwined.
Whether through friendships, relationships, or rivalries, figures like Taylor Swift, the Kelces, and the Allens continue to captivate fans, making these games not only about the final score but also about the stories that play out along the way.
