The New York Jets won’t put any limitations on Haason Reddick in Week 8.
Connor Hughes of SNY reported that the linebacker is set to play in the Jets matchup against the New England Patriots on Sunday. Reddick will also not be on a snap count limit.
Reddick is set to play his first game of the season after ending his holdout on Oct. 20.
The Jets currently have a roster exemption for Reddick, so the team will need to make a move prior to the matchup against New England.
Reddick was dealt to the Jets in the offseason but requested a trade in August during his contract holdout. This period extended into the season, but the resolution will see Reddick play for $8.8 million with a chance to recoup $12 million in incentives.
Reddick has recorded double-digit sacks in each of the last four seasons and has 58 in his career. He will bring a new element to the Jets’ pass rush and should significantly impact the team’s overall defensive play.
New York is 2-5 and desperately in need of a winning streak. It will look to start with a victory over the 1-6 Patriots.
