Jerry Jones shared an emotional message to Cowboys fans after another loss to drop Dallas to 3-5 on the season.
In the Cowboys’ 27-21 loss to Kirk Cousins’ Atlanta Falcons, Dallas notched its third straight loss, further making their chances of making noise late in the season all but a distant hope. To make matters worse, star quarterback Dak Prescott left the game with various injuries, forcing the Cowboys to look elsewhere.
Star wideout CeeDee Lamb also was injured late in the fourth quarter, further adding more complications to an already complicated season for Dallas. In the face of numerous issues, Jones gave fans a message of hope as the Cowboys attempted to turn things around with the season quickly slipping away.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Jones gave fans an impassioned message. “I really regret this for all of our Dallas Cowboys fans,” the 82-year-old began.
“We’ll tell you this that I’ve been around. I’ve seen Michael Irvin tear up and cry when he couldn’t lose anybody because he’s just recovering from knee surgery. Yet his — came back and led the team to three Super Bowls. I know you can be there if you’re there. That room’s full of guys that can get it done. I believe in ’em, coaches and all.”
And while Jones still has faith in the team, history is not on the Cowboys’ side however. Dallas has only made the playoffs one time after starting the season with a 3-5 record, doing so in 2018 after trading for star Amari Cooper.

Guard Zack Martin is one of five players still on the roster from that 2018 squad. Speaking with reporters after the game, the 33-year-old believes the feat could be achieved again, though it has to start with the men in the locker room and their belief in one another.
“Absolutely that’s what we want to do,” Martin said regarding making the playoffs, according to ESPN. “I’ve said this before, there’s absolutely no secret to this thing. It’s right back to work and we just got to get our confidence back and go in there with some swag and expect to win.”
Martin also stated that while he believes the Cowboys have the personnel needed for a lengthy run, Dallas has to understand that any potential turnaround requires deep reflection from each of the men in uniform. “I mean, we’ve got the guys in here,” he continued.
“We’ve just got to take ownership of this thing as players, and we’ve got to go out there and execute plays better. We can’t beat ourselves and put ourselves in a hole. Our margin for error is too small for that. Back to work. And everything we still want to do is in front of us, right? We’ve got a lot of division games coming up, and we’ve got to get one and get on a roll.”
And while Martin is confident in the Cowboys’ chances, Prescott couldn’t contain his thoughts on how the team played against the Falcons. With the star signal caller on the sidelines, cameras spotted Prescott giving a very blunt assessment of how the Cowboys performed that night. “We ——- suck,” Prescott was spotted stating.
