Jason Ralph sparked speculation of marriage drama after liking a harsh Instagram comment calling him a cuckold over Rachel Brosnahans chemistry with her Superman costar
Rachel Brosnahan’s husband, Jason Ralph, has caused a stir online after reportedly liking a brutal Instagram comment that slammed his wifes on-screen connection with her Superman co-star, David Corenswet.
The unexpected social media moment came after a fan accused Brosnahan, 35, of getting too close to Corenswet, 32, who plays Clark Kent opposite her Lois Lane in the latest DC blockbuster.
But the fan didnt stop there as they took aim at Ralph, 39, urging him to walk away from the marriage if things had crossed the line off-set. “It’s genuinely sad to see your career being tucked out to be remembered as a cuckold because your wife couldn’t handle herself with her co-actor.” The commentor added, “Like bro.. let’s have some self love and stand up for yourself man, leave her to be with him if she wants that much at the end of the day.”
Rather than ignore or respond to the message, Ralph – best known for starring opposite Brosnahan in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel – allegedly pressed the like button, leaving to intense speculation. Screenshots of the like were shared by Buzzfeed.
The actress and her co-star Corenswet have been praised for their undeniable chemistry as the iconic comic book couple, but Ralphs online engagement has now cast a different kind of spotlight on the duos dynamic. Angry fans have since slammed Ralphs decision to interact with the comment.
“Sorry but if u cant handle dating an actor/actress then dont date/marry one, what is up with ppl,” one TikTok user fumed. Another added, “Sorry but most people who marry actors know what they gotta deal with.” Some questioned the motive behind the like altogether, unsure whether Ralph meant to endorse the comment or mock it.
“I think regardless whether he feels that way or was highlighting how absurd it is, there was no need to engage with it,”one commenter wrote. “It is disrespectful to Rachel and through interacting with it, fans are now speculating etc about it. Whether or not the bts [behind the scenes] is bad, I think he made it very public and supported a very negative comment about his wife.”
Others came to the couple’s defense, urging people to stay out of their personal lives. “It’s just not fair to either of them, i feel for both of them in this situation and i hope people stop commenting on it bc it’s none of our business to begin with. let them live their lives,” one fan said.
Meanwhile, some tried to brush off the controversy, as they pointed out Ralphs sarcastic sense of humor. “Have we not considered that he liked it because it’s absurd?” one user asked. Another agreed, “I truly think this is him liking it because it’s absurd, not because he’s like.hurting deeply.”
Brosnahan and Ralph reportedly tied the knot in 2018, but the actress later revealed in January 2019 that they had actually been married for years before making their relationship public. The couple appeared together at the 76th Golden Globe Awards in 2019, where Brosnahan thanked Ralph during her acceptance speech.
The House of Cards star also has a famous family connection shes the niece of late fashion designer Kate Spade (née Katherine Noel Brosnahan), who was married to Andy Spade, brother of comedian and actor David Spade.
