Jake Paul is set to discuss his potential MMA debut right after his upcoming showdown with Mike Tyson.

The YouTuber and boxing sensation will be stepping into the ring with the heavyweight boxing icon in Texas in an eagerly anticipated eight-round bout next month. Despite boasting a 10-1 record in boxing, with the sole loss handed to him by Tommy Fury last year, Paul holds a significant age advantage of 30 years over Tyson for their November 15 clash.

However, Jake Paul isn’t just content with ruling the boxing world – he has grand plans for MMA as well, having inked a deal with top-tier promotion PFL in 2022. Discussions about Paul entering the MMA arena could see him making a splash in that sport in 2025 during a break from his goal of clinching a boxing world title.

“I’m not sure if it’s going to be his very next fight in combat sports but he will debut in 2025,” PFL CEO Peter Murray told Mirror Fighting ahead of Francis Ngannou’s return to MMA against Renan Ferreira. “Look what Jake has proved in boxing; he’s an incredible athlete, he’s a pro boxer and he’s taken on some legit opponents and he has blazed his own trail.

“He’s going to do it the same way in MMA; he’s all about being an advocate for athletes and blazing new trails so he’s absolutely going to take on MMA and be as focused and dedicated as he is to boxing.”

Paul has been vocal about his desire for a rematch with Fury, who previously defeated the internet sensation in Saudi Arabia. The potential bout could even shift to MMA following Fury’s recent training sessions with UFC heavyweight Tom Aspinall.

Murray chimed in on the possibility: “I believe (they could fight in PFL); we’ll see, there’s a list and it keeps growing, that’s what’s exciting about it. There are a number of fighters who would like to be part of that debut so we will be talking to Jake after the Tyson fight.”

Paul, who has a victory over Nate Diaz in boxing, might face him again but this time in MMA, although a $10 million offer hasn’t drawn Diaz back yet. Paul is also linked to a third match with Tyron Woodley, whom he’s beaten twice, and has an ongoing rivalry with Jorge Masvidal, who is currently on hiatus from the UFC.

Before any of these, Paul is set to face Tyson, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, except for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr in 2020 that ended in a draw.
