Jake Paul has firmly stated “it’s Mike Tyson or no one” amidst concerns that their eagerly awaited face-off on November 15 might be cancelled due to worries about the former heavyweight champion’s health.

Paul faced a significant setback earlier this summer when Tyson had to delay their big match on his doctor’s advice after experiencing nausea during a flight. Fans are hoping that the 57 year old won’t postpone the fight for a second time.

However, YouTuber Paul has eased concerns about Tyson, noting that he is having an excellent camp and added: “It’s Mike Tyson or nothing. But first and foremost, he’s healthy and feeling amazing and doing great in camp.”

Paul later mentioned that Canelo Alvarez is the opponent he would like to face in the future, regardless of the outcome of his fight with Tyson. He has previously challenged Canelo, but he once again hyped up a massive fight against the Mexican, promising to “shock the whole world ” if they both stepped into the ring.

“Everything I’ve said has come ‘true’ and why Canelo, you know, should be awake at night, because I’m coming for him,” Paul told TMZ. “The fight is going to happen and I will win and shock the whole entire world. And, this is me currently speaking it into existence.”

“People will sit there and listen to that and be like, ‘Oh, he’s crazy’. But, I was crazy when I said I’d be doing the biggest fights when I would beat Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, all of these things. So you’re crazy until you’re not,” declared Paul, who has made waves in the boxing world despite skeptics doubting his prowess. Canelo, revered as one of the boxing legends with world title belts across four divisions and a stellar record with only two losses out of 66 bouts, stands in contrast to Paul’s budding career.

The internet sensation turned boxer, Paul, sent shockwaves through the sports community by announcing his upcoming bout with the legendary “Iron Mike” Tyson, who is three decades older.

The event, which will be streamed on Netflix, has drawn criticism from fans and pundits alike, with some, including Eddie Hearn, labelling it “sad” due to Tyson’s age and expressing concern over the possibility of Tyson being knocked out by Paul, nearly two decades after Tyson’s last pro fight.

Yet, Paul maintains that he’s approaching the fight with a mix of nerves and seriousness, fully aware of the challenge despite his youth and fitness edge. When questioned about his feelings towards the match-up, Paul admitted: “Definitely. The moments of insecurity, especially moving up to heavyweight where [Tyson] has the weight advantage and all of that. He’s insanely powerful and I know he’s taking it seriously.”
