In a revelation sure to amp up the anticipation for their heavyweight clash, Jake Paul disclosed that a ‘big drugs test’ is on the cards before he squares off with Mike Tyson.
The much-talked-about bout is slated for Friday, November 15 at AT&T Stadium, in Texas, where 80,000 fans could be in attendance. The pair were originally supposed to exchange blows back in July, but Tyson had to bow out after an ulcer acted up during a flight.
Despite initial worries over the 58-year-old’s health, Tyson has committed to taking the step into the boxing ring. Come fight night, Paul and Tyson will face off professionally over eight two-minute rounds deviating from the typical three-minute spans.

Its a match that’s gotten the green light from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, with both stars set to sport 14-ounce gloves for added protection; quite a step up from the standard weight.
Rigorous drug screening will be part of the pre-match preparations for the two stars. World Boxing News received confirmation from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation that: “Contestants who fight in Texas are subject to random drug testing. Combatants over the age of 36 are also required to pass an EKG and an EEG.”

Paul, who recently featured on the ‘Suga Sean O’Malley’ podcast, broke down the drug-test rules for his upcoming fight. “They’ve got to let Mike use some special supplements, a little bit. I mean 58-years-old. Having the lifestyle that he’s had, his natural testosterone can’t be that high, so hopefully he’s able to get boosted up a little bit,” remarked O’Malley’s coach Tim Welch.

In response, ‘The Problem Child’ explained: “Well, there’s like a big, panel, drugs test from the Texas State Commission.” To this, Welch quipped: “So his testosterone can’t be 16,000 like Alistair Overeem that one time” – with Paul confirming: “No, I don’t think so.”
Tyson himself disclosed back in August, during an appearance on Logan Paul’s ‘Impaulsive’ podcast with co-host Mike Majlak, that he will be using psychedelic drugs in preparation for his fight against Paul, sharing that he “always trains on mushrooms”.
Asked by Majlak, while discussing his rapport with marijuana, if he’s ever fought under its influence, Tyson clarified: “Bout with marijuana. I never had a fight, it’s always been my friend.”
As conversations shifted to magic mushrooms, Tyson pulled out a bag of spores. When Majlak inquired: “Are you going to take these shrooms today?” Tyson asserted: “I have to take them when I train. I always train on my mushrooms.”
Stunned, Paul inquired: “What? Why?” Tyson then elaborated with a smile: “Because I feel beautiful. They take me to heaven baby.”
The conversation took another turn when a perplexed Paul questioned whether Tyson would be feeling the effects of magic mushrooms during his bout with his younger sibling. To this, the famed boxer replied: “If I’m not on mushrooms I’ll be on…” and that’s when Maljak threw in a humorous guess: “PCP?”
Tyson responded with a chuckle: “That’s a good one too. Residue of mushrooms. I won’t be on mushrooms but I’ll be on the residue of mushrooms.”
