The full lineup for the much-anticipated heavyweight clash between boxing legend Mike Tyson and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has been officially unveiled. The pair are set to square off on November 15 at the AT&T Arena in Arlington, Texas.
Originally scheduled for July, the bout was postponed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up. Despite being advised to halt training, the 58 year old icon is back in the gym and assures fans he’ll be ready to rumble next month.
The decision to proceed with the fight, given the 31-year age difference between the two, has drawn criticism from many in the boxing world. Tyson’s last professional match was in 2005, where he lost to Kevin McBride, although he did participate in an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr four years ago.
Since his debut in 2020, Paul has been a regular competitor, boasting victories over Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz. With a record of 10-1, his only loss was a points defeat to Tommy Fury last year. ‘The Problem Child’ enters the ring with Tyson fresh from a knockout win over Mike Perry in July.

An blockbuster rematch is set to unfold, with Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano entering the ring for round two. Taylor managed a split decision victory in their thrilling first battle at Madison Square Garden. Some pundits suggested ‘The Real Deal’ Serrano might have done enough to secure the win. Paul has even declared he believes Serrano vs Taylor 2 is the co-main event, saying on Twitter: “Taylor vs Serrano is the Co-Main Event and the Main Event in many fans eyes. They are not the undercard.”
Meanwhile, Matchroom Boxing’s head honcho Eddie Hearn isn’t mincing words about Tyson vs Paul, revealing he’ll make a swift exit post-Taylor fight.
“We received a massive offer for Katie. I’m not going to tell her she’s not allowed to fight on that card,” Hearn disclosed to BBC Sport. “Financially it’s the biggest purse of her career. I won’t be watching the main event. We’ll be there defending the belts, and then I’ll be off.”
Hearn didn’t hold back on his thoughts regarding the main event either: “The reality is that 20 years ago when Mike Tyson retired from the sport he was shot, completely finished. It was actually sad to watch then, 20 years ago. I’m in awe of him – he’s one of my favourite ever fighters, one of the greatest of all time – but he’s a 58-year-old man. You only need to speak to him and look at him to know this guy should not be in a ring again.”
