Antonio Brown has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump leading up to the 2024 U.S. presidential election. However, Brown is not the only former Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro backing the Republican candidate. Another prominent figure, Le’Veon Bell, has also been actively campaigning for Trump.
During a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday night, Bell joined Trump on stage, drawing attention with a controversial shirt that referred to Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in a derogatory manner.
“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, did you really know they want to put tampons in the boys’ bathroom?” Brown asked the crowd. “That’s really insane, right?”
Bell, who played for the Steelers as a star running back, stood alongside Trump, reinforcing his strong support for the former president.
Bell wasn’t alone in his display of loyalty. Fellow former Steelers teammates Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace also appeared on stage with Trump during the event, showing a united front in support of his campaign.
Bell later posted a video on social media where he stood beside Trump, captioning it with, “We makin’ America great again,” echoing the famous slogan from Trump’s previous campaigns.
The presence of high-profile NFL figures like Bell, Brown, and Wallace underscores the influence of sports personalities in political campaigns. This rally comes at a crucial time as Pennsylvania remains a pivotal swing state in the upcoming election.
With the state’s electoral votes potentially determining the outcome, Bell and his former Steelers teammates are using their platforms to energize voters and sway support in Trump’s favor.
In recent months, several notable members of the NFL community have publicly endorsed Trump, especially following the dramatic assassination attempt on him earlier this year.
