Not much has gone right for the Las Vegas Raiders this season, but one thing that has is 2024 first-round pick and tight end Brock Bowers, who has been sensational during his rookie campaign.
Bowers is not only the best rookie tight end through 11 games, he’s one of the very best in the NFL entirely. He entered the Week 13 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs leading all tight ends in catches and receiving yards.
We got another taste of how special Bowers is on Friday against the Chiefs, when the rookie tight end reeled in a deep ball from Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell with one hand, despite being interfered with by a Kansas City defensive back.
Check it out for yourself.
Just when you think Bowers couldn’t impress us even more, he goes ahead and does it.
Bowers wasn’t done there, though. On the next series, he pulled down this touchdown catch on another deep ball from O’Connell.
Not only has Bowers been one of the best tight ends in the entire NFL this season, he is also on pace to smash multiple rookie records, and he has already set some league and franchise records in his first season.
Unfortunately, Bowers will face an uphill climb in the Offensive Rookie of the Year voting because of a pair of standout quarterbacks in the Denver Broncos’ Bo Nix and the Washington Commanders’ Jayden Daniels.
Voters will likely lean to both young signal-callers over Bowers, even after what has been a historic rookie season.
The Raiders have a lot to figure out following this season, but they are absolutely set at tight end for a long, long time.
