Brain Daboll refused to answer how the NFL and New York Giants will handle the Malik Nabers incident after the wide receiver was seen partying while in concussion protocol.

Nabers is set to miss two consecutive games after suffering a concussion in the Giants‘ Week Four loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He has been away from practice while he recovers and has been ruled out of this Sunday’s Week Six game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

But this week, video showed Nabers partying at a Travis Scott concert and also seemingly attending an afterparty. His behavior raised eyebrows given he remains in concussion protocol.

Those who have sustained a concussion are usually told to remain away from strenuous activities, while being sensitivity to light and noise. The Giants head coach did not seem pleased about Nabers’ decision, and refused to answer when asked by reporters.

He bluntly stated: “We’ll keep that in-house.”

Nabers is in the midst of a sensational rookie season, leading the league with 35 receptions in four games while ranking in the top 10 in targets (52), receiving yards (386) and receiving touchdowns (three) – all while missing a game.

Asked about the incident at the time, Daboll said of Nabers’ injury: “It was a pretty big hit. I’m not going to get into what it was, but it was a big hit.”

The Giants selected Nabers with the sixth-overall pick, a selection that had been maligned by many with the team in need offensive line help. But despite them still struggling on the line, fans will have been more than pleased with the Giants’ decision to draft Nabers – the second wide receiver taken in the draft after Marvin Harrison Jr.

The Giants will face the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend on Sunday Night Football, before coming up against the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East – where the find themselves just one game behind first placed despite many expecting them to be among the worst team’s in the NFL.
