Betsy Brandt and Grady Olsen are going their separate ways after more than two decades of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the Breaking Bad actress, 51, filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage on Dec. 26. Though the couple had already been separated for a year, she did so without a lawyer and cited the reason for the split as irreconcilable differences.
Brandt, who is best known for her portrayal of Marie Schrader in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, and Olsen married in September 1998. She listed their separation date as August 1, 2023 — just ahead of their 25th wedding anniversary.
In the filing, the actress indicated that she is seeking legal and physical custody of their son August, 16, and stated the couple will need to split up any property. It’s unclear if they had a prenuptial agreement in place.
