Kiyan Anthony, the 17-year-old son of former NBA star Carmelo Anthony, was the most recent guest to stop by Angel Reese’s ‘Unapologetically Angel’ podcast.
The pair discussed Anthony’s relationship with his father, his upcoming decision of where he’ll play college basketball, and dating if he were to reach the league as ‘Unapologetically Angel’ continues to make waves.
Reese’s advice to Anthony comes as rumors swirl around the 17-year-old’s potential fling with 39-year-old reality TV personality Draya Michele. The former star of ‘Basketball Wives LA’ recently had a child with Houston Rockets 22-year-old guard Jalen Green.
“’You need to be careful,” Reese said. ‘When you go to the league, [and] this is coming from ‘sis’ – even when you’re in college, you need to be careful with these women.”

“Yeah, I be chilling,” Anthony responded. “No, for real. One slip up…. [do] you be seeing these stories?” Reese asked, likely referencing Michele. “Yeah,” Anthony said.
“[Kiyan], don’t do it,” Reese continued. “I’m coming after y’all…. Because you’re 17, it’s the woman you’ve got to worry about that [are] a lot older too. Be careful. We not playing.”
“You can’t be having anybody over there [at your place],” Reese said. “And you tell them girls to drop their phone at the door.”

Reese has attracted a share of dating rumors herself during her rookie season in the WNBA but recently admitted on a podcast that she’s single.
Anthony is currently in his final year of high school and is ranked as the No. 30 recruit in the College Basketball class of 2025 by On3. He will make a college commitment to either Syracuse, Auburn, or USC on November 15.
His father Carmelo Anthony led Syracuse to a national championship during his lone season with the Orange back in 2003. The 19-year veteran was the third pick in the 2003 NBA Draft and made ten All-Star games.

Reese suggested that 40-year-old Carmelo Anthony should make an effort to play with his son. She asked Kiyan: “How [do] you feel about him [Bronny James] being able to play with his dad? Would you have wanted to play with Melo? Tell him, ‘Come out of retirement, Melo.”
The elder Anthony has always been effusive in his praise of his son in recent interviews. When asked about Kiyan’s NBA comparison, Carmelo said, ” His comp is Paul George.”
He continued with further parallels. “[Tyrese] Haliburton, Penny [Hardaway]. He’s Penny with a great jump shot. That would be my comp. Shaun Livingston with jump shot. With a crazy jumper. That’s the mold.”
