However, fan Ailynn Espino shared a different experience on social media, claiming her husband was initially stopped by stadium security due to wearing similar political attire.
“What was supposed to be a fun first-time experience for our kids ended up being an eye-opener for us,” Espino wrote on TikTok and Instagram. She described how her family, excited to attend their first game together, was stopped by a security guard who told her husband he needed to either discard his MAGA hat or leave the stadium.
Espino said the confrontation led to a lengthy 45-minute argument that caused the family to miss the start of the game. “I wasn’t going to share this, but after seeing the field message ‘vote, it takes all of us’ and seeing Bosa flashing his hat to the cameras, I felt we were being discriminated against,” she wrote, referring to the various political statements present at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday.
Ultimately, a supervisor stepped in and allowed the family to enter the stadium, which Espino acknowledged gratefully. “Thank you to all the people who stopped and spoke up as this happened,” she added, expressing appreciation for the bystanders who offered support during the incident.
Videos posted by Espino show her and her husband in discussion with Levi’s Stadium security, with several bystanders reacting to the unfolding situation. In the footage, a voice can be heard shouting, “Let’s go Trump,” as other fans passed by, entering the stadium without issue. Espino’s husband could also be seen wearing a Nick Bosa replica jersey during the encounter.
