The Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their 2024 World Series win in style, with fans draped from head to toe in blue flooding the streets of LA to watch the parade.
The Dodgers won their eighth World Series with a convincing 4-1 series win over the New York Yankees earlier this week. The Dodgers raced into a three-game lead but they were forced to a fifth following a Game 4 fight-back from the Yankees.
Game 5 looked like it was going to turn into a Game 6 with the Yankees leading 5-0 heading into the fifth inning on Wednesday night. However, after Aaron Judge dropped a fly ball, the Dodgers rallied to win 7-6 and seal a sensational comeback as well as clinch victory in the World Series.
Celebrations were wild in the Dodgers locker room and across Los Angeles, with fans taking to the streets after the game to party. However, scenes turned wild and chaotic, with looting and rioting taking place, as well as one fan being seriously injured from a firework.

The fan saw the firework blow up in his hands, leading to significant injuries. The parade had a more peaceful, joyful atmosphere, though, with a sea of blue spotted across the Dodgers’ bus route, where they will show off the Commissioner’s Trophy before finishing up at Dodger Stadium.
Fans turned out in all-Dodgers gear, from hoodies, flags, caps, face paint, and signs, to give their roster a heroes welcome. It’s not like the Dodgers have had to wait an age to see their team win the World Series again either.
Yankees fans last tasted victory in the World Series in 2009, while for Dodgers fans it’s their second in just five years. They also acquired the league’s best two-way superstar, Shohei Ohtani before the season started, and he has already clinched himself a title, which he failed to do at the Los Angeles Angels.
