Count Bill Belichick among those who could do with less Taylor Swift on his screen.
During the first half of Kansas City’s marquee matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Swift was shown celebrating after the Chiefs were able to convert on a big play late in the second quarter. As Swift continued to celebrate, Belichick made it clear that her boyfriend Travis Kelce had a very successful first half of play, though too much for his liking.
Joining Peyton and Eli Manning on the “Manningcast,” the former New England Patriots head coach did not hold back on his thoughts after seeing Swift on his screen. “Ugh. Big first half for Kelce,” Belichick noted as the screen showed Swift clapping her hands in happiness.

“Too big. Too big.” All the Manning brothers could do was muster a laugh as the game returned to each of their screens so they could continue their analysis of the game.
To Kelce’s credit, the 35-year-old did have a stellar outing in the first half, at least in comparison to his start to the 2024 NFL season. After the first half of play, Kelce had 67 yards on eight receptions, picking up where he left off against the Los Angeles Chargers the previous week.
After starting the season slowly, Kelce appeared to break out of his slump in Los Angeles, recording 89 receiving yards on seven catches. Up to that point, the star tight end had recorded 69 receiving yards on only eight receptions, showing just how slowly he started the season.

Against the Saints, Kelce continued his resurgence, finishing the game with 70 yards on nine receptions, helping lead the Chiefs to a 5-0 record. Though he did not record any touchdowns, Kelce’s performance against New Orleans shows how much star Patrick Mahomes will be relying on him as the Chiefs continue to deal with injuries to their receiving corps.
Additionally, Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium is a far cry from the previous two weeks when the pop megastar was nowhere to be found. After watching Kelce and the Chiefs during the first two seasons, Swift was notably absent, which had fans pondering the state of their relationship.
To further complicate matters, Swift was not present during Kelce’s 35th birthday. Those closest to Kelce were there to celebrate the festivities including his older brother Jason and Mahomes.
With Swift supporting Kelce again and the star tight end’s resurgence, it appears as if he is slowly playing his way back into shape. Considering how busy Kelce and Swift have been during the offseason, many believed the former had been out of shape thanks to his new lifestyle with the latter. However, the couple shot down any notion that Kelce was not ready for the season.
“Taylor and Travis both insist it’s being blown out of proportion, but there’s no doubt Taylor feels a little guilty that it’s gotten to this point because it is true that he spent his offseason living the good life with her,” a source told Life & Style. “Even after training camp he was off his diet and partying with her and her friends because that’s what she wanted to do.
“Now making it her mission to help him shed the weight and get his six-pack back so that he can have all the haters eating their words. She’s promised to go on the diet with him for support, at least when they’re together. That means all the junk food is out, no sugar, and definitely no drinking.”
