When you love your hoomans, you just never want to let go! At least, that’s what Hunty would say if he could speak.
This pawdorable New Jersey Shepherd mix is all about his mom and dad, Sara and Ryan. Yet, one day, he had to part ways with them. Even though it was only for a short time, he just missed them so much.
Hunty spent exactly eleven days apart from his hoomans, waiting for the day he could see them again. But when their long-expected reunion finally arrived, he didn’t know that his momma and daddy would catch him off-guard!
Hunty Thought He Was Dreaming
To say that Hunty is a good boi is an understatement. He endured being separated from Ryan and Sara despite all the separation anxiety. Every night, he went to sleep dreaming of the reunion and waiting for the day to give them the nicest kiss on the face.
Yet, one night, his dream appeared to come true!
Sara and Ryan returned from their vacation and slowly crawled into the room where Hunty was sleeping. It was already 11:30 p.m., and their dog didn’t expect to see them that late.
Then, they woke him up – and he immediately switched to his cuddle bug mode!
“It’s 11:30 P.M. and you get woken up by your mom and dad to go home after 11 days of not seeing them,” they wrote in the video.
For a few minutes there, Hunty seemed pretty rattled and didn’t know what was going on.
“Pretty sure he thought he was dreaming because he seemed rattled,” his owners wrote.
But his confusion didn’t last long!
As soon as he realized that he wasn’t dreaming, he started to wag his tail and shower his pawrents with kisses. He even tucked himself into his dad’s lap, enjoying the sweetest cuddles.
Eleven days seemed like an eternity, but at last, they came to an end. Hunty’s wait was finally over!
He’s Included In Pretty Much Everything
Aside from being the greatest boi ever, Hunty has plenty of other things that he’s amazing at.
For starters, he’s a good companion that follows his mom and dad everywhere. It is safe to say that Hunty is involved in all aspects of their lives, including the most important ones.
He was an integral part of Sara and Ryan’s wedding. Hunty’s presence at the ceremony was just heartwarming, adding to the couple’s special day in a memorable way.
Despite being a rescue, Sara and Ryan always joke that he’s their actual son.
“I don’t think non-pet owners really get it. This is not just the dog. This is my son,” she says in a TikTok video.
Hunty loves being a part of Sara and Ryan’s family. He loves his New Jersey home, takes daily walks, hangs out with their friends, visits the beach, and embarks upon many exciting adventures every day.
Having his mom and dad is truly a blessing, and he wouldn’t trade it for the world!
