NFL legend and longtime sports analyst Terry Bradshaw and his family are reeling from a natural disaster that tore through their Texas ranch, leaving destruction in its wake.
Bradshaw’s daughter, Erin Bradshaw, a world champion equestrian and professional horse breeder, took to social media to share the devastation caused by a tornado that struck their property earlier this week.
A Tornado’s Devastating Path
The tornado tore through Erin’s ranch, where she lives with her husband, Scott Weiss, and their young daughter, Jessie, causing severe damage to buildings and tragically claiming the life of a baby horse.
In a series of emotional Instagram stories, Erin described the terrifying experience and the aftermath of the storm.
“It got a little western at 5 a.m. here,” Erin wrote, sharing images of the destruction. “Two of our loafing sheds got tossed like golf balls.”
While their home remained intact, the tornado left its mark across their land.
“Not what anyone wants to wake up to, and we are heartbroken to lose a baby, but things could have been worse. I’m glad our home is okay,” she continued. “I have no idea what hit us, but it had a little path through our property and down our road like a small tornado.”
One of Erin’s prized mares also suffered a severe leg injury, adding to the distress of the situation.

A Community Steps In to Help
Despite the heartbreaking loss, Erin expressed gratitude for those who rushed to help clear debris and assess the damage.
Sharing more images of the destruction, she thanked her friends and neighbors who came together for emergency cleanup efforts.
However, the chaotic weather in Texas didn’t stop after the tornado passed. Erin later vented her frustration with the elements, adding:
“Texas, you can kiss my a today. And now we have a dust storm,”** alongside a crying emoji.
A Lifelong Passion for Horses
Erin, born in 1989 to Terry Bradshaw and his third wife, attorney Charla Hopkins, has dedicated her life to the equestrian world. Her passion for horses was sparked at a young age, heavily influenced by her famous father’s encouragement.
“[My dad] put me on a horse when I was 5 and really let me start living that dream,” Erin told Cowgirl Magazine. “Without him, I don’t really think I would have even started riding.”
Now a respected professional in the equestrian industry, Erin frequently competes in championship horse shows and manages the family’s Quarter Horse breeding business.
Terry Bradshaw’s Future in Broadcasting
While Erin and her family deal with the ranch’s recovery, Terry Bradshaw is facing a major decision of his own—whether to retire from broadcasting after nearly four decades in the industry.
The Hall of Fame quarterback, who transitioned into TV after his football career ended in 1984, has been a staple on FOX NFL Sunday since 1994. Alongside Howie Long, he remains one of the two original cast members still with the show.
Just days ago, FOX Sports announced that Jimmy Johnson—who had been part of the broadcast since 2002—was officially retiring from television. Johnson’s departure raises questions about possible changes in the FOX lineup, including whether Bradshaw will soon follow suit.
As of now, FOX has not announced who will replace Johnson next season, leaving speculation about the future of the FOX NFL Sunday team.
Moving Forward After the Storm
For Erin, the road ahead will involve rebuilding and recovery, ensuring the safety of her remaining horses, and dealing with the emotional toll of the storm’s impact. While the loss of a beloved foal is a painful reality, her resilience and dedication to her ranch reflect the strength she’s inherited from her father.
As the Bradshaw family navigates both personal and professional challenges, one thing remains clear—whether on the football field, in the broadcasting booth, or on the ranch, the Bradshaws are fighters through and through.
