Jason Kelce predicted which four teams will be the last standing after the dust has settled in the early rounds of the NFL Playoffs.

With the 2024 NFL season concluded, the seeding for each conference have been established, with the Kansas City Chiefs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, followed by the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, Los Angeles Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Denver Broncos.

In the NFC, the Detroit Lions snagged the first seed with the Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, Washington Commanders and Green Bay Packers filling out the rest of the spots. Even with the star power on display, Kelce already has made his choice on which four teams will reach the conference championships.

In an episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast from early December, the Eagles legend made it clear which four teams he believes will be the last standing. And he claimed his former team will be among them.

” I think it’s in the AFC,” Kelce began. “It’s the Chiefs and the Bills, and then in the NFC, Detroit and Philly seem to be the top.”

For Kelce to pick the Chiefs and Bills to top the AFC is a sound choice, considering how dominant the two teams have been this season. Kansas City, despite the injuries its sustained, finished the season 15-2, with the Chiefs the favorite to win their third consecutive Super Bowl with a first-round bye.

Buffalo, meanwhile, rode Josh Allen’s impressive season to the No. 2 seed, setting up a matchup with the Broncos in the first round. In the NFC, it is a similar story with the Lions, garnering the same record as the Chiefs thanks to the play of Jared Goff.

Meanwhile, the Eagles have a date with Jordan Love and the Packers. The Eagles have been struck by the injury bug as of late, with star quarterback Jalen Hurts missing the final two games of the season with a concussion as Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee filled in.

However, what could make the Eagles’ path to the NFC Championship Game slightly easier would the fact that the Packers will be without the services of Christian Watson. In the regular season finale, Watson suffered a knee injury against the Chicago Bears, with the full extent of the injury revealed Monday.

NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport posted on X the severity of Watson’s injury, stating: “#Packers standout WR Christian Watson is believed to have torn his ACL and suffered additional damage, ending his season and putting the beginning of 2025 in jeopardy. A frustrating reality for that talented pass-catcher.”

Additionally, Love appeared to be hurt in the game as well, explaining to reporters after the loss that his throwing hand “pretty much went numb” in the loss.

“It was the same thing after half-time, I came back, I was trying to get some throws and the same thing, the outside of my hand, the pinky [finger], I really couldn’t feel it,” Love said. “It was pretty numb, so we just made the decision to hold me back.”
