Tiger Woods’s ex-wife Elin Nordegren was out hand to watch Woods and their son Charlie Woods compete in the PNC Championship this Sunday. The father/son duo would finish second after losing a playoff to Bernhard and Jason Langer.
The pair were married in 2004 before an acrimonious and highly public split resulting in a 2010 divorce. They had two children together: Charlie (15) and Sam (17), who caddied for her brother and father.
Despite their acrimonious split, Nordegren publicly showed support for their two children as they appeared alongside their dad on the course. in Orlando. Charlie Woods, a sophomore at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Garden, Florida, was the star of the show on Sunday. He nailed his first career hole-in-one by sinking his first shot on the par-three 175-yard fourth hole.
“It was a perfect seven-iron, so just kind of hit it,” Charlie said of his shot. “Down off the left, a little cut seven. It was awesome. I didn’t think it went in. I don’t believe anybody until I go up there and see it.”

Per X account TWLEGION, Nordegen missed her son’s signature shot: “Todd Lewis spoke with her – she watched the ace from a TV in the clubhouse but is now walking the grounds for the back 9.”
2024 marks the fifth consecutive year the Charlie/Tiger team has competed at the PNC Championships — Charlie Woods was just 11 when the pair played in 2020.
“To be our here in this environment and to have fun like this – it doesn’t get any better,” Woods told NBC. “This week is for each other, and we’re just rooting so hard for each of us to pull off each shot that we want.”
Nordegen was on hand for the 2020 tournament but has not featured alongside her family much since the split in 2010.
Woods and Nordegen met in 2001 when she was working as an Au Pair for fellow golfer Jesper Perneivk. Woods was reported immediately smitten even though she had a boyfriend back home in Sweden.
Since the divorce, Nordegen has three kids with former NFL tight end Jordan Cameron. Woods has yet to remarry and took a break from golf in 2009 when rumors of their floundering relationship became public.
“After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf,” he said at the time. “I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.”
Charlie Woods wasn’t the only child of a notable golfer to convert a hole-in-one at the PNC Championships. Paddy Harrington, the son of longtime Irish star Padraig Harrington, converted his first stroke on the par-two eighth.
